Interesting but useless information about experience at immigration today and very comical

Hello, I don’t usually use this forum but I was at immigration this afternoon getting my one year stamp and I noticed that Thai Immigration still has this Interpol Wanted Poster up of James “Whitey” Bulger the old school mafia guy from Boston who did just about every crime in the book and they’re not even sure exactly how many people he murdered. It says the reward is $2 million US dollars. Anyone think I can collect the $2 million dollar reward? Because I know exactly where he is.

He’s dead, Bulger was murdered in a “maximum security” Federal Prison in Hazleton West Virginia in late 2018, after being captured in California after about 16 years on the run. So yeah sure I know where he is! Is the reward still valid since his Wanted Poster is still posted up? 9 years after he was finally captured and almost 2 years after his death? I should have asked lol. The dude was shanked in federal prison in 2018 he was in his late 80’s caught in 2011 after 16 years on the run. He was caught living in an apartment under an alias name in California. He actually had set up a new identity on someone’s Social Security Card that he bought. The story is that he had been prepared to go on the run and he supposedly had multiple identifies with ID and everything in various safety deposit boxes. That’s how he was able to hide from the FBI for 16 years. I should have asked “hey I know where he is since his wanted posted is still up does that mean I technically still get the $2 million dollars?” I actually told that joke at immigration and cracked a few people up. Interesting story they made at least two movies about him he was a big deal in the United States I think mostly because he really embarrassed the FBI if you know the story or have ever read about it or saw one of the movies about him.

I highly recommend his story especially reading the story in detail as well as the movie Black Mass because it’s an extremely interesting American crime story! Very interesting historical kind of stuff but also interesting that his wanted poster is still up after all these years. I guess they didn’t get the memo from Interpol lol.

yes and I was standing right outside their apartment when they were arrested in Santa Monica. They had $800,000 in cash in there. If I had only known.

Oh really? Did you actually see the dude or hear anything he said? I heard he was still the same old school no filter Boston mafia guy. I heard he still had that same attitude when he was caught after 16 years on the run.

he was taken out in hand cuffs and placed in the back seat of a police car. that was it. i just happen to be taking a walk with my girlfriend as it was happening. the next thing you know the whole neighborhood is swamped with media and helicopters overhead.

Lots of FBI in the parking lot under the apartment building.

Well you know immigration still has his wanted poster up offering a $2 million dollar reward. So since I know where he is I wonder if the reward is still valid lol. ????

Lol, I should go back to immigration on my report day and walk in that office where the Interpol wanted posters are up and I’m sure his wanted poster will still be there I remember seeing it last year also. And if they are not to busy jokingly tell them “I have information about his whereabouts ???? can I please collect my $2 million dollar reward first?” And see the look on his face when I explain how he was already caught 9 years ago and he was eventually murdered in his prison cell over an old mafia vendetta back in 2018 he died not that long ago at like 89 years old. Yet his wanted poster is still up. I guess if that’s my biggest complaint then immigration must’ve been alright and it was.

Honestly I wonder if they would let me keep it since it is at least 9 or 10 years old probably older than that since he was actually caught in 2011 after 16 years on the run. Since it’s outdated I wonder if they would let me keep it as a souvenir.

Yes it is still valid, & I am holding it in escrow.

All you need do, in order to receive this $2million, is to send me a transfer fee of 250k baht.

Sincerely yours,

Prince Mugu of Nigeria.

Ps. It also includes an iPhone 14, perfume, & Gold.

LMAO ???? THAT IS GOOD MAN I really am cracking up good one. Nice.

That’s the kind of joke I probably would have thought of lol, I think we share a similar sense of humour.

Those posters are merely "decorative art". They will be updated every 10 years or so.

Probably but it’s been about 9 years almost. I was just saying I could cash in on the reward because I have information on his whereabouts lol.

And I know what he’d say to me “just sayin we’ll get you buried real f’in quick”!

And I remember seeing his wanted poster last year when I did my previous extension so I really wanted to get a picture of it. I should have got a good picture of the whole poster that describes his entire violent history and temper. He was apparently the kind of guy who would kill someone just for saying something he didn’t like or just out of paranoia that someone might rat him out. He seems bold but apparently he was psychotic very much so. I don’t know if it had anything to do with his psychotic behaviour but apparently when he was in prison back in the late 50’s early 60’s including Alcatraz prison where he spent 9 years of his life he was subjected to now declassified CIA experiments with LSD on federal prisoners. Very interesting story and it’s all true.
