The Covid-19 crisis and the state of the economy topped people's worries, according to a Suan Dusit Poll on "5 Anxieties".

The survey between March 3-7 of 1,162 people from all over the country allowed respondents to specify more than one concern.

Life and money were the top concern for 78.45 per cent of respondents. They expressed concern about the economic downturn, and not having enough income, over-pricing of products and fewer ways for earning.

The new coronavirus (Covid-19) was a major concern for 71.47 per cent of the people.

Respondents said the virus had become a global pandemic while people travelled from risky countries to Thailand continuously. The number of patients are increasing and there are no clear preventive measures with shortage of masks and alcohol-base sanitisers.

Increasing crime was a worry for 64.51 per cent of people.

They are concerned about crime news, scarier behaviour of criminals and the violent behaviour affecting them or their families, as well as the economic and social deterioration.

Politics was a worrying factor for 58.93 per cent of the respondents.

The rift in society, unrest and the government's way of dealing with problems remained a concern.

The impact on tourism from the Covid-19 outbreak worried many respondents because of decline in tourists, which may lead to losses, business closures and job losses.

You can thank your government for that. But keep in mind you are a risky country also.

Both problems: Wuhan virus and the economy—fall squarely on the shoulders of the pro-China regime.

So I guess the same can be said for S. Korea, Japan, Italy, US etc?
