Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia jointly seek solutions for disease spreading at borders

Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia seek joint solutions for diseases that spread across borders.

The honored guest from Department of Disease Control (DDC) Md. Sarawut Suwannathappa (สราวุท สุวัณณะทัพพะ) presided over the meeting concerning the development of international cooperation in monitoring and curbing the spread of diseases along Thailand-Laos-Cambodia borders.

The spread of diseases which should be specially observed are avian influenza, Tuberculosis, Malaria, and Aids. He says the lack of cooperation among neighboring countries led to the severe spread of the diseases. As a result, nations must set up a proper system to prepare residents for the pe spread of the diseases.

A Nongkhai (หนองคาย) Public Health officer, Md. Ittiphol Soongkaeng (อิทธิพล สูงแข็ง), refers to the spread of avian influenza along the border. He says Thailand was well prepared to curb the deadly virus.
