And in the same time we could read in the "Not named" newspaper that TAT hope that Chinese toutists will start to come back within 2 to 4 weeks. But there will be a change now TAT say. The tourists would have higher  demands on cleaning and hygiene. So we have to learn that from China.

Please give me a rest. Must be first time in world history one have even get the thought to learn about cleaning and hygiene from China.

Or anything from anyone... unless there's a quick buck in it...

When Italy, Spain, Germany, USA have thousands of new cases of virus per day, 89 seems insignificant to me, a total of 411 still seems insignificant to me.

Thailand is winning! ☮️

That's just the beginning. Thailand might get there as well which is extremely worrisome.

Many cannot.

And it does not matter many places are closed and I bet that gets extended with the rising cases.

No work or money to even afford their Soi Buakhow 2 to 3,000 b a month box.

Going home gives them a basically free place to stay and less expensive rural life.

Fairly consistent rumour that places have been shut down by order of Prayuth. 7/11, Central and Tesco Lotus and local markets. I'm really surprsed at 7/11 and Central, I'd have thought Uncle Too would rather have had your choice of his legs cut off than affect the income of 2 of his best mates...

Still, anything on da noos?

So wait for the numbers to rise dramatically... I didn't say what they could do, I quoted what "self isolation means" which we know is un-achievable.

The trojan horse came in, and now because of the Thai culture at home it will spread like wild-fire.

Fair play, i stand corrected. Indeed it will like a knife through butter if it takes off up there.

What about all the people from the closed entertainment industry, and now the many thousands of mall and market workers returning up country back home en masse to the provinces / villages. That wasnt well thought out. They have created the very situation they were hoping to avoid cancelling Songkrahn. Surely these people one of the highest risk carriers being in contact with foreigners and international travellers. I dont know what the solution would be? Self quarantine in their area of work? However Im guessing many live hand to mouth and probably dont have funds to live unpaid for more than few days. U watch the numbers in the country accelerate next few weeks

The Chinese people stand ready to help their Philippine brothers and sisters to go through this difficult time," Huang (vice president of China) said in a statement.

China said the same thing to Thailand some weeks back, after Thailand refused to block the entry of Chinese tourists, and thus ensured Thailand and its people are going to suffer thru the pandemic...

Let's see just how much help the Chinese are to Thailand now as the CV cases here begin to skyrocket.

As someone has already pointed out the numbers won’t accelerate as they won’t get tested, albeit the infected numbers will increase.

It would be 'interesting' to see if figures show any correlation to the degree of air pollution that exists in all of northern and north-east Thailand.

In 2019 Chiang Mai had bad air (rated unhealthy or unhealthy for certain groups) for three months (not six) and an average PM2.5 of 32.3. It was a really bad year as everyone here knows. In 2018 the avg was 24.5 and in 2017 it was 22.7, so this is not a good trend.

Cities like Korat and Khon Kaen had higher pollution averages and bad air for longer periods also (4 months Korat and 5 months KK).

Bad air in CM for 7 months last year!

Another on my ignore list ????

Do you have a transcript of exactly what China said?

It was a statement from the Chinese Embassy in BKK, something about China and Thailand being travelers in the same (coronavirus-sodded) boat!!!!

How did this spread to so many people attending this boxing event ?

all from possibly one person ?

I find that hard to believe - were they all touching each other

Well it spread in the air, no need to hug or kiss anyone to get infected.

If they were in the boxing stadium I am surprised it is only 89 infected. All it takes is one ill person sneezing in the crowd!

It's definitely not just 89 infected, count on that.

It would be good if we can get the profile of the people infected i.e. their nationality, age, place infected.

Why can't they give us these details?

OK< not quite the same though. Duterte received a personal communication from Xi Jinping:

“President Xi Jinping, for all his goodness to us, wrote me a letter and he is willing to help. All we have to do is to ask,” said Duterte in a late night press briefing wherein he announced the guidelines in containing the outbreak through Resolution No. 11.

Imagine all the particles suspending in the air when someone are sneezing, it is beautiful.

I guess you are right, a powerful sneeze from an infected person can infect quite a number of people if they are close enough.

Fooled me twice ... shame on you.

There are a few experiments but as far as I know it needs special conditions that Covid can spread by air. (aerosol)  Maybe thats also one reason why so many people get infected so fast who knows. ---------- > They produced aerosols (less than5 micrometers) contaminated with COVID-19 or SARS virus to create inoculum similar to samples obtained from human upper and lower respiratory tracts. COVID-19 was viable throughout the 3-hour experiment.
