Again another china government's way to squeeze foreigner

Featured Replies

What a self obsessed jerk. He is being quarantined because  the Chinese are not blind. He is coming from Bangkok where the  infection is out of control. The Chinese have watched people like him in Thailand treat social isolation like a joke. He even mentioned he was hoping that there would be no quarantine. Seriously? Comes from Bangkok and is hoping he can circulate freely.

Of course there is a  cost. Foreigners like him complain about Chinese quality hotels. It costs a lot to have a person in quarantine and they are going to take on some of the cost.

This man is clueless. Absolutely clueless.

bwahhahhahhahah!

he knew before the flight he'd be stuck in quarantine, but thought he could talk the officials into letting him stay with a friend.  yeah, right.   he apparently lives in china, surely he would know how strict it can get.

i've been to nanning a few times.  in normal times as a foreigner it's hard to book into the cheaper hotels.  many are not authorized to take foreign guests, so you get steered to the 4- and 5-star places that have done the paperwork with the police to allow you to stay there.

here in hainan, the government has announced (published in english on website) mandatory 14-day quarantine at your expense.  site said it would cost 500-700 rmb/day, i suppose that depends on what type of hotel you get put into.
