Have a small spot on my nose that's a bit scabby and bleeds easily that won't go away, so it might be a basal cell carcinoma that needs looking at by a dermatologist. I know there's a skin clinic behind the Bkk/Pattaya hospital, is there anywhere else? I'm a bit reluctant to use that clinic as I took my partner there for a skin allergy that they didn't manage to treat successfully after quite a few visits and prescribed expensive ointments and creams.

You posted this 3 years ago and AFAIK it is still valid.

I would check with a skin specialist at Bangkok/Pattaya hospital first before I let anyone mess about with moles. Better to pay someone who probably know what they are doing. Dr Anna at the Dermatology clinic get often recommended.

As I said I used that clinic and Dr Anna for my partner without success, so I'm asking is there anywhere else.

Try Pattaya International Hospital.  Has a small, but well staffed dermatology clinic. Should be fast and easy to get in and out.

Was not aware it was located outside the hospital - sorry - have had such removed from nose myself so best to do before it gets too large (which might require getting skin from elsewhere).  But first step is to determine if actually cancer as you know.

Was it removed in Pattaya or elsewhere, and what were the means of removal, freezing, surgery etc.?

Dr. Anna is not located outside the hospital. Right inside it. If you took your partner to a clinic located behind the hospital, not the same.

And there is no one else in Thailand let alone Pattaya with her level of expertise in skin cancer.

See her.

The issue is not getting it off but getting it biopsied.

Dr. Anna will at same time do an overall skin check for you.

Dr Anna was who my partner saw in the clinic behind the hospital.

Are you sure it was the same r. Anna?

In any event her specialty is skin cancer. Not other skin conditions.

No one else in Thailand has her degree of expertise in skin cancers. Also she has a reliable pathologist she works with. Go anywhere else and you risk misdiagnosis.

This was about 15-20 years ago at Latphao Hospital here in Bangkok.  Dermatologist worked at Latphao and Bumrungrad at the time but surgery done by another doctor and done in OR but not under full sedation.  Nurse mentioned it was very close to requiring extra skin as these operations need to cut a wide margin to be sure to get all the cancer and then it is stretch the remaining skin to cover.  No an issue for patient and no pain.  The frequent bleeding for me has been a sign for BCC so very important to get it checked (although normally slow growing).

I go here. Fast and efficient. Had many spots cryoed for 4k. Plus eye tags and other barnacles removed. In and out.

If its on your face, go to BKK. Asoke Skin Hospital has the Sensusheath machine so no scarring.

Asoke Skin Hospital of Bangkok has become the first healthcare facility in Thailand to successfully complete the installation and deployment of the SRT-100TM non-invasive skin cancer treatment system, officials with Sensus Healthcare announced today.

My partner says it was the same lady, I showed her the photo, but she saw her for a allergic skin rash, not cancer, but anyway, as soon as the virus has abated I'll make an appointment to see her. Too risky to be visiting hospitals at the moment.

When you still have the same symptoms over 1 week go see a doctor. Drink, drink, drink, tea, water with electrolytes. 7-eleven sells in Orange and lemon flavour. Eat white rice, biscuits. Most of the time it will pass in within a week.

Cause flu, bad food, hygiene.

Best get it seen to. Might not be basal cell carcinoma.

I recently had one removed from the side of my nose and when the autopsy came back it was a squamous cell carcinoma , which can spread.

This was in Bangkok at Phya Thai 2 hospital and was done by a plastic surgeon for 37,000 baht. I was in surgery for 2 hours !! Not a 10 minute job.

My regular dermatologist at the Paolo Kasetsart would have done it for 10,000 but he advised me to see the plastic surgeon , otherwise the scar on my nose would have been of the ' action man ' variety. As it is , scar now almost invisible.

If no doctor, go to the pharmacy and buy Aldara. Put it on the nose three or four times a day. As in bandaid or plaster, soak in Aldara and apply. It will shrink very quickly but will not heal completely. No scarring.

Actually private hospitals are very clean currently with few patients and hand sanitizer on every counter and easy to keep your distance so would not worry too much unless/until the situation becomes much worse.  Be better to make sure what it is and that you actually can take time to wait it out I suspect.

Having used that very expensive cream would not recommend using without a doctor saying with exact instructions on how.  And in my experience for cancer treatment any result is minimal and can take weeks/months.

Dr Anna works in the Dermatology building of BPH which is located behind the main building of BPH.

the Dental Clinic at BPH is located in building D and within the perimeters (back side/also parking garage) - Dr. Anna is still working 3 days/week at BPH, visit by appointments only (by phone ok)

Not Dental Clinic, it was a Skin Clinic. I believe they also do cosmetic surgery there.

That's been suggested to him about 3 times already and for some reason he is not interested in going there. He also won't see Dr Anna because he thinks his boyfriend was ripped off there before so he's looking for other suggestions.
