Kookie Rip

Featured Replies

Kookie was not a house dog, neither was she a soi dog, she would just sit on the porch, get two meals a day and howl like a banshee at any passing traffic.

We arrived home tonight to discover her body just outside the driveway next to a bloody stick ...... she wasn't killed in any sort of motor accident, the wounds were far too direct for that .... plus a tree branch covered in blood stains is a bit of a give-away.

She never did anybody any harm, ever, but because some spineless excuse for a human being couldn't tackle a real foe, he took out the weakest.

My wife is in tears, I'm typing this just to vent, I spent about 30 minutes outside with the dogs that are still alive trying to calm them down.

I'll bury the body in the morning, I can't do it now.

Sorry to hear that mate :D "Spineless" is clearly spot on :o

Sorry to hear that. :/

Far to many people that should be put down instead exists...

Sorry to hear that Thad, words do no justice to this kind of Tramp.

Why? What do they get from it?

Rest in Peace Kookie

It's about the only thing I ever worry about here. That some miscreant will intentionally harm my dog(s). I'm so sorry this has happened to your dog Thaddeus and I certainly understand your families grief. My condolences.

Taddy, I too add my deep sympathies friend. Acts like this are inexcusable.

Just to share, I had once semi adopted a beautiful scraggly street dog in Guatemala; she was very popular down our street and everybody played with her. When she got pregnant, and was heavily pregnant, some rich people from the capital / who's kids used to play with Scruffles / dognapped her, let her have her babies, then dumped her, dead, back on the street, keeping the puppies.

I feel so sad at your loss. Try to remember the happier times...

That has just given me a cold shiver. A friend of mine here bred Goldens & his top male dog was called Cookie. He called me a few weeks ago to tell me of Cookie's death & ask for my opinion. He was told Cookie had been killed by another dog; the indications pointed strongly to Cookie being beaten to death by the dog's owner.

I am so sorry that has happened to Kookie & to your family, Thaddeus. Absolutely horrible. I can never get my head around intentional cruelty or the scum that perpetrate it. RIP, Kookie.

Sorry, Thaddy. I missed this thread today. My heart goes out to you and your family on the loss of Kookie. I know it just really hurts.

Gods bless, Friend.

Thanks everybody.

I should be used to this now, I have sent the odd 'chicken killer' dog away myself...... you have to, I don't feel good about it, but living in a farming community means that livestock comes before pets.

The thing that has really upset me in this situation is that Kookie was a non-violent, non-bike chaser, non-kiddie botherer and many other things that begin with non ..... she was a 'full body wag' dog, about as nice a temperament as you could get.

The rest of the doggie clan are equally upset, they are all currently sat around my legs looking at me with a '<deleted> dad' expression.... these guys are smart and I don't have enough pa sah dog to tell them.

I have a fairly good idea who did it, in the same way that I have a fairly good idea who poisoned six of our puppies two years ago and who managed to do the same thing to 4 of my in-laws dogs a couple of months back ...... everybody in the village calls me Corin (it took a while) apart from one man who still hangs on to the word 'farang' (and when he says it, it doesn't sound nice)

I am now torn between waiting for karma/fate, whatever you want to call it, to take effect or inducing some bad karma of my own making on him.

I'll have a few cups of coffee first, then dig a hole and then contemplate it further.

Let karma do it's work, Thaddy. Get on with yours and clear the ugly thoughts this sadistic monster has put in your mind. Being ugly -- that's not you. Bury Kookie and then turn your attention to the living that you love.

Having had at least a dozen dogs poisoned over the 3 years I've been doing the dog center, I understand how angry you feel. I'm not as nice as Jet (or as practical, as doing harm to this guy could get you into serious trouble). If it were me & I had absolute proof it was this guy, I'd be more into providing my own bad karma to him. I've known a lot of people do bad things & not get their come-uppance.:o It doesn't sound like you can be 100% sure though, so it really is best to leave it alone.

You are right NR, I can't be sure, so I will leave it alone and hope that fate takes it's course. Should the time come when we can be 100% sure, I won't need to do anything, wifey will ..... she is a sugar-coated demon when she has been wronged.

Thanks for the words before Jet, they are absorbed and understood.

Can I request that this topic now be closed please Mods...... Kookie is now in the ground and I don't want to dwell on it any longer.
