Thanks for bringing this up and i hope that others can shed some light on it.

Our landlord lives far away and it has to be the one who's mentioned on the electricity bill to claim any money.

I've seen some other documents, but it was more about the meter installation fees.

    Please share your knowledge here.

The letter seems to be about  getting the meter deposit back...for a 5/15 AMP meter my wife says she will receive 300 baht.

Only residential houses and small companies qualify for a meter deposit reclaim.

5/15A 300฿

15/30A  2000฿

30/100A 4000฿

no thanks I'll let em keep the 60 bucks..

So will we.

The topic was discussed in other thread(s).

It lead to overload at the PEA (MEA?) servers and we decided to drive to the office to pay the bill.

So antiquated

It took days for their IT to recover and seems still not 100% back to normal.

so by the sounds of it no benefit to the renter at all in times of need ,,, thought it was to help up in the times of low income ..

If you have a 5/15 amp meter and use less than 50 units of electricity per month then  those units are free

( I'm not too sure but think  must be below 50 for 3 months before it becomes free ? )

Not free electricity...but can reclaim the initial deposit he paid to have meter installed

Seems like it's 50 percent of the deposit that can be reclaimed.

My girlfriend reclaimed our house deposit, which I asked her to do as it's about 6 times as high as any actual use, we could have half back. Well, it's anyway better only to have 3+ times monthly use in deposit, so C19 is after all good for something...????

The wife went to the local PEA to get the deposit but was told they cannot do it, just do it online. But as you said  about the IT, she could not register online
