webfact Posted April 8, 2020 Share Posted April 8, 2020 Over 1,000 prosecuted for violating curfew order By The Nation More than 1,000 people were found to have violated the night curfew imposed after an emergency decree was issued, Royal Thai Police said on Wednesday (April 8). Police, Army, public health officers and volunteers numbering 18,793 have been stationed at 927 checkpoints all over the country. Officials screened 27,731 people during the curfew hours and 20,977 were searched. Most of them had the need to leave their residences such as delivery service workers, employees on shift and medical personnel. Of the 1,156 found violating the curfew order, 1,021 were prosecuted while 135 were let off with a warning.
