Phuket province has ordered the closure of all boundaries between districts from 00.01am on April 13 until 11.59pm on April 26, as it steps up efforts to stem the escalating Covid-19.

The move is aimed at restricting the travel of people and vehicles within fixed boundaries to prevent any possible spread of Covid-19.

The order exempts medical workers, postmen, state officials on duties or persons with permission from state officials, transport of consumer goods, telecom equipment, cooking gas, medical suppliers, ambulance, parcels and print media.

Earlier, the province had ordered a temporary shutdown of some areas, including Patong, Kathu, Rawai.

Meanwhile, Phang-Nga province on April 9 announced a closure of the entrance to Koh Yao district and Koh Yao Yai subdistrict, beginning April 9. Convenience stores were ordered to close from 8pm to 5am. The move follows the first confirmed case of Covid-19 in Koh Yao Yai subdistrict.

it would be smart if they actually published a map of borders for each sub-district so we know where the boundaries are or check points and dont cross them.

Once active you really don't have to worry about crossing.
