That much has always been obvious.

To some! most choose to ignore the facts, preferring the drama! "Their" media that they choose to believe, never mentions the fact and they have become incapable of free thought!

A local Italian restaurant put all its tables lengthwise and only 2 chairs per table. All tables were separated by 1.5 metres so social distancing was ok. Then some stupid officials stopped wine drinking etc at 2pm. Who eats Italian food without drinking wine!

Currently there is still 964 active cases in Thailand, do you want to sit on a bar stool next to one of them ?

The chance of dying in Thailand from CV is about 1.5 million to one. I'll take that chance. More dangerous to cross the road.

It used to be, not now. You need to find a better irrelevant comparison. Hospitals are apparently quiet at the moment, less accidents happening.

My opinion (not an expert or specialist of any kind) - it is too early to reopen almost anything (not only places where they drink alcohol). Give those in need money from the budget and ask everybody stay home until 1 of June at least. Not a proper time to be greedy, government.

I don't mind the dying part (covid or crossing the road) its the ending up disabled or with severe health issues that scares me.

You certainly come across as anti alcohol, anyway, so you think that Bars and Restaurants should remain closed?

Which means that a good percentage of the Thais in Pattaya remain without meaningful work and income, whilst queuing by the hundreds for food being donated with very little social distancing being practised, with the resultant increased risk of transmission, they are stressed due to their situation, which in turn increases in domestic violence, theft and social disorder in general.

Unless the good governor continues to ban the sale of alcohol, then those that commit the domestic violence due to alcohol (hmmm), are those who would rarely if ever sit in a bar or restaurant and will do as normal and purchase their alcohol anyway.

When should the bars be allowed to open again? After a vaccination is found and everybody been forced to have this? 1 more month, 2, 3, a year.....................??

Meanwhile the malls etc. are OK to open........................???

Very well said,couldn't agree more!

Why, with new infections of only 30/day surely some restrictions an be eased, and focus moved to testing, tracking and contact tracing. At some point restarting the economy will be more important... else there will be more than 30 deaths/day from suicide and crime!

Because we still don't know a lot of things about the virus at the moment. So additional caution is a must.

So everything must stop because of things we do not know? That just doesn't make sense.

They just need to think through each activity, restaurants maybe one per table, golf only 2 balls, no caddies (fantastic) etc etc

Well that is me done at the first hole.

Please let me know some one who has Covid....I want to prove to myself that all this is not way overblown...

There are only like 10,000 other diseases to also worry about...

Obviously knows that Thai people are so exceptional, they have the ability to live on thin air. What an incredibly dumb thing to say to people who are broke and starving.

Not stupid like most of their leaders they live a charm life they are out of touch with reality of their own people!

Just can't see the bars opening for months....not that they shouldn't, but there'll be zero tourists...a few local expats and more than likely no girls....

Rents havn't been paid also....none or few Thais will have money....also...Prayuth said 5 years ago he (and his elite mates) wanted to clean these areas of hookers and drinking and have a good image of Thailand created... this is the perfect opportunity to do that.

A lot of the  governors would like to open earlier towns cities ect

Get the workforce back to work

Quite a few are doing the talk but when it comes to the walk

Let's wait and see if the Corovirus keeps dropping there could be a ray of hope
