Channel 7 news reported on a case getting a huge amount of attention on Thai social media.

A CCTV clip showed a man in a car reversing onto a road and into the front of a pick-up.

The pick-up driver soon gets out and an altercation takes place.

The old man is assaulted in the face and knocked unconscious to the tarmac.

It emerged that he is a 92 year old retired civil servant Bancha.

He is now battling for his life in hospital. He remains unconscious with a brain hemorrhage.

Bang Nam Priaw police in Chachoengsao said that the assailant came into the station on Thursday, the day after the incident.

The police were tight lipped about what they were doing but suggested this would result in a criminal prosecution. One that could not be settled with a wai.

Witnesses said that the old man was reversing very slowly due to his old age and this angered the pick-up driver. A hooting of horns was a precursor for the violence.

Welcome to the land of smiles psychopaths.

So many with deep rooted disorders.

There are so many people with mental disorders who aren't able to seek the professional treatment they need because it would be a loss of face to their family. Unfortunately, the rest of us have to deal with the after affects of people with these disorders whether its in the workplace, out in public, or wherever.

Ditto. And after seeing vids of Thais pulling knives and machettes and guns after 'road rage' I listened and did what she said - always.  Wise move for all Expats - never argue with a Thai in a car - could be son of Police/Politician or even Mafia and could have a weapon.

Impound the pickup for "double parking" , sell it stateside and the money goes to the old man to help pay the hospital.

The man, keep him in jail for attempting (still) murder cleaning the toilets with broken bumguns. What a <beep>.

Hope the old man recovers and can enjoy his last years without brain damage.

Please define what type of aggression towards a 92 year old or any aged person is not unbelievable??

I would be interested in your view of acceptable aggression towards seniors

a push could never be described as "unbelievable aggression", an example is the guy who was killed in a soi 6 bar including allegedly having his head stamped on a few times. Anyone who thinks that video shows "unbelievable aggression" i hope would never be on a jury

These guys are such cowards. Hit a 92 year old but wouldn't try it with someone who could hit back.

He is Thai, after all. ????
