Yeah, but. . . The first report cited does not say only (!) seven girls died. It says an investigation was being held. The second article, from the FT, is behind a paywall.

Number are wurst but I'm suspecting Thais did indeed get lucky (or thair masters gifted them the asymptomatic version of the wuhanese virus). If they ever test for antibodies, they might find a very large portion of the population had it, asymptomatic. It would explain a lot things.
