Serious question:.   Are Dems even trying to win, or just going through the motions out of sense of obligation?

If he would select her as his running mate we wouldn't even need to have the election, just let the elector's select Trump and move ahead.

That pair would be Trump's wet dream, no chance in hell that happening.

Wonder where the rumours are coming from.

nah, they ain't trying.  even with disinfectant injections and bringing light into the body, they have no truly viable candidate this time around.

biden will just be a place holder.  they'll find a real candidate next time when trump leaves the white house to open his medical training facility.

And another OP without a single mention of Biden's sexual assault allegations.

No mention of him falling asleep during the Town Hall like a geriatric.

No mention of his incoherent rambling.

Good god if Trump got half the cover that the good ole establishment Democrats get it, it wouldn't even be a race.

Expand your world perhaps.

A mixture of these chemicals is known as embalmingfluid, and is used to preserve deceased individuals, sometimes only until the funeral, other times indefinitely. Typical embalming fluid contains a mixture of formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde, methanol, humectants and wetting agents, and other solvents that can be used.

Hillary might have her operatives working on a plausible way to work her into the VP slot. The Clinton's probably still have dirt on high powered people within the party apparatus. They can close the deal and let Joe know later

Yes it was a close race......just a little short on choices

Indeed. Till the US addresses the reason they never get any decent choices ( Trump vs HRC was a choice between two bad options IMO ) any more, they will continue to get the, IMO, shoddy choices prepared to put up with the media BS.

IMO the last decent POTUS candidate was JFK, and he would never have been a candidate NOW due to his womanising being exposed.

I expect Hillary may still run with Biden. Biden steps down due to illness. Hillary becomes President. If she is on the ticket this must be the plan because no one could ever suffer Hillary as VP. Even when she was First Lady she attempted to have her mitts in everything. Both of these insufferable and corrupt boors as copresidents especially in these times would be more than the US could bear. There would be internal conflict.

If not, my bet is he'll go with Klobacher (sp?). Harris would be a good pick but CA never decides elections nor does the black vote. Klobacher looks smart, solid record in office but it's just local tripe. Nothing to garner a raised eyebrow.

Michelle Obama - just shows how imbalanced he is....in a heartbeat. That's just clawing at name recognition.

Biden isn't going to do 5hit just like Obama. Dems will have to take Senate.

Remember Trump impeachment, Supreme Court hearings, Ukraine yeah that all worked so well for Dems.

One thing Dems have going for them in Biden is he understands class struggle. For decades Dems have been hijacked by racial, gender/s and homosexual and hivemind demands from minorities. Biden is classic Dem class warrior. Chomsky of all people has made this very argument. All things to all people boil down to class division and economics. Not giving free scholarships to people that use five genders to describe themselves or identify themselves as one simple, narrow interest. Even Bill Clinton said it ...it's the economy stupid. And that is precisely what it will be.

What a surprise! I was so sure about that she would endorse Trump. Life is full of surprise and unpredictable. And this is really a breaking news.

I'm not so cynical (Or possibly well informed!) OK the limelight is on HRC in this event, but Biden would be crazy to have HRC as VP on the ticket. She is old, she is hated by Bernie supporters. He want's the women's vote, he has a wealth of good women to choose from. Warren's intelligence is unmatched by any  one else in the top field in either party,  but other choices are sound also. Of course there is no contest on the intelligence stakes with the GOP anyway, none will ever get on mastermind, master chef possibly, or the great bake off. Outright winners of the great fake off the moment that starts!

Warren would intellectually be an excellent choice and also very, very good for the country. But she is not a vote getter.

I totally agree (except about the JFK part). The media has made the process so utterly toxic that any good decent people would never want to subject themselves to it. That's why we get stuck with all these narcissists, sociopaths, and patently unqualified candidates.

The media just attacks and attacks, looking for any flaw they can pick at. They go back to your life in high school and highlight any stupid thing you may have said. The entire process is a mess. Decent, intelligent people want nothing to do with it.

Personally, I am rooting for the death of the media business. Far too many so called journalists trying to make a name by just putting any <deleted> out there with no verification or honest editing. They always love to claim they are the Fourth Branch of Government, here to protect us from Government abuse. Utter nonsense! They are self important a-holes looking for attention as well.

I get so much better news and reporting from foreign media such as the SCMP and even the BBC at times.

Sexual allegations didn’t hurt Trump neither will it hurt Biden. Goes down to the handling of the pandemic and the economy. Both heading south for Trump.

Just as a dogs life can be measured in dog years, so can the Trump presidency be measured in Trump years. I predict several normal years worth of <deleted> between now and November. If I had to predict, I'd say everyone's going to be talking about China at that time rather than the coronavirus.

Is that suppression? No.

Is it poor election committee management, YES.

Do you know who is running the election committee? Hint, it's not the GOP

You'll have to get better at this than this lame attempt.

If Hillary was one heartbeat away from the presidency, she might do something about that heartbeat, and Old Joe knows that.  Didn't Joe already say if elected he would only serve one term?

I think he'll pick a black woman, if so I hope it's Stacy Abrams.  If a black man, I'd hope for Eric Holder.

Notice how just the mere mention of Hillary gets so many frothing at the mouth?  Sorry folks, you'll be chanting "lock her up" for a different woman this time.

Also note all the sympathy for Biden's accuser from people who rabidly defend the p_ssy grabber.

Both Abrams and holder are horrible examples of political hacks.

But since they are darlings to the progressive hive, they must be great....

Not to say this will go anywhere but has been pointed out to be an oddity that police would investigate a case in which the statute of limitations ran out.  Anyway, Biden's being investigated.

Law Enforcement Today - Police Department confirms: Actively investigating claims that Biden sexually assaulted former staffer

"Remember that big push for “believe all women” that rose from the left following the rise of the #MeToo era?

Seems like that portion of the political sphere is awfully quiet after a former Biden staffer came forward with sexual assault allegations."

I think it entirely correct that Tara Reade, like all alleging sexual abuse should be listened  to, I do not and never have ascribed to the ‘slogan’ women should be believed.

Listen, follow and believe the evidence.

Importantly listen with both ears and examine the credibility all giving testimony and of all evidence.

Let’s hear what Tara Reade has to say and let’s examine what she has said in the period since the alleged attack is alleged to have taken place:

I agree. Years ago I really had hopes for her. Alas, she melted into the swamp and during later years it had come to light she is/was a habitual liar.

Another millionaire populist.

Among the lies she has lived is that she is a populist or progressive either for that matter. When push comes to shove she has always returned to the power base of the neoliberal establishment Democrats.

What about NY's voter suppression by cancelling it's primary? No delegates apportioned. No down ballot voting. Downright non democratic.
