Security Awareness Training Course - required to renew Panama Seaman Book

Featured Replies

I posted a similar question in the Offshore forum already, but seeing as there's a good number of offshore workers based in Pattaya, I thought I might have more luck here.

I need to renew my Panama Seaman's Book. The last time I aquired a seamans book my company supplied the endorsement letter and made all the appointments for courses and medical examination, so all very straight forward.

Now to renew the seaman's book I need document "Security Awareness Training Course VI/6-1 or VI/6-2". I previously did this one day course at the Gentleman Mariners School in Bangkok, I sent them a message through their Facebook, waiting for reply.

Also waiting for reply from Pattaya International Safety Training. In the meantime has anyone gone through the process of renewing a Panama seamans book, and know of any other place where I can do the required Security Awareness Training Course?

This course csn be completed online. I just finished my university's requirement to finish it. I am quite sure if you Google "Security Awareness Training Course online" you will find many firms which offer it. One is alphaprep.net. Hope this helps.

Thanks Marc, I will check it out.
