'BCG vaccine no defence against Covid-19'

A well-known virologist has dismissed a recent report that the BCG vaccine offers protection against Covid-19.

 

In a Facebook post on Friday (May 15), Dr Yong Poovorawan, a Chulalongkorn University virologist, said there were rumours that Asian people who had been vaccinated with BCG vaccine, which is used against tuberculosis, had a lower chance of getting infected with Covid-19 compared to European people.

 

He explained that Israel had administered BCG vaccination to newborn babies until 1982.

 

“According to the study of Covid-19 infection rate in Israelis who were born before and after 1982, the infection rate of people who had been vaccinated was 11.7 per cent, while for people who were not vaccinated it was 10.4 per cent. The death rate was one person per group,” he said.

 

“Therefore, BCG vaccine cannot protect people from Covid-19 disease,” he said.

I remember this being discussed and the BCG issue being brought up back in March, but then it just seemed to fade away.  The US does not use the BCG vaccine inoculation for TB, but Thailand does.  When my daughter had to have a TB test done in the US for school she tested positive, and only a blood test sent to CDC cleared her and allowed entry to school.  So the BCG inoculation given can lead to an unfortunate positive TB test result when needed for Visa's and such.  Just for information to those who may emigrate in the future with their Thai born children.

so the approx 1982 ending of BCG, relates to people mid 30s and younger

- put together contradicts the trend of the older people (who DID get the BCG) should then theoretically be less likely to get the CCP virus!

BCG is now used for cancer treatment.

I've just had 15 insertions @ 1 per week up my cock & into my bladder for bladder cancer, the pain from the BCG was undescribable as it was literally burning the tumours in my bladder.

It was successful as I've been in remission for 18 months.

Thank God for BCG.

Same happened to my husband but in Thailand. However, the specialist immediately suspected BCG shot was cause of false positive. UK did BCG inoculation post war.

BCG shot wasn't said to offer protection but gives a boost to immune system.

Could it be attributed to honesty in reporting "deaths" not using testing that has been proven is neither specific or accurate and that people are generally healthier, many article's I have read state that you are more likely to contact the "virus" if you have had the flu jab, it also lowers your resistance? The "media" doesn't have as strong an influence outside Western countries where they have driven the agenda to a ridiculous degree to justify the shutdown which was initially to "flatten the curve" ?? just asking??

Yes Thailand definitely has done its due diligence on coups and taking away personal freedoms ever since this group took power in 2014...
