WhatsApp message disappears

Featured Replies

I hope this is just a mobile phone issue. A friend of mine got in a motorcycle accident last week. I sent a message asking if he was ok but later I found out he died  Two days ago, when I looked at the list of messages, there was a new one from him. It simply said, "One fire".

When I click on the message, it disappeared. Nothing to say a message had been deleted. I am sure someone has his phone and is playing games, but can anyone explain how there is a message in the list but it isn't there when opened? It has happened twice. I took a screen shot to be sure I am not being crazy.

Anyone know how this was done?

Sorry for the typo. The message was On Fire not one fire.
