Rescue workers and medical personnel rushed to the scene of an accident in Chaiyaphum after a large tree fell down on a pick-up in a heavy rain storm.

The car was being driven along the Suranarai Road in Nong Bua Khok district around 6.40 pm when tragedy struck.

A man and his wife and their pet dog were all trapped in the cab. The wife Kasem, 55, died at the scene.

The driver Bunsuan, also 55, was taken to Jaturat Hospital with serious injuries after a thirty minute operation by rescue workers to cut him out.

The pet dog was also rescued; Sanook said it was a pitiful and tragic scene as the dog guarded the corpse laid out on the road.

a thought moved for this woman and her entourage, a good recovery for the husband and great caresses for this dog so faithful

Sad and terrible reminder how fierce these storms can be.

Seek shelter ASAP. et away from trees and poles even in the car.

Stop car on open terrain and wait for the worst to pass.

Yeah, it seems a bit weird to concentrate on a dog in such circumstances, but It's heartbreaking to see. She'd be his Mum, if my own SO's relationship with her pet dogs is anything to go by. It just Ilustrates her Irreplaceablity. Hope the guy recovers. Hope the dog gets taken care of. Hope they can resume some semblance of family life after this horrific tragedy.

Very sad and it jogged my memory of this famous Japanese dog HACHIKO:-

Hachikō was born on November 10, 1923, at a farm near the city of Ōdate, Akita Prefecture.[3] In 1924, Hidesaburō Ueno, a professor at the Tokyo Imperial University, brought him to live in Shibuya, Tokyo, as his pet. Hachikō would meet Ueno at Shibuya Station every day after his commute home. This continued until May 21, 1925, when Ueno died of a cerebral hemorrhage while at work. From then until his death on March 8, 1935, Hachikō would return to Shibuya Station every day to await Ueno's return.

Nice story, but it seems to me that it was the subject of a film.

The love by a dog is the only love that is unconditional.

My dogs reaction when i come home is pure joy, whether i am gone 10 min or 1 week. Loyalty i have never found in adult humans.
