Have you read your link? It's not a dispute. Cuomo, a democrat like De Blasio, has offered to send the National Guard. De Blasio just declined the offer.

De Blasio, a former Sandinista supporter who spent time in Nicaragua, is an absolute joke.

There are Democrats now walking on the streets. The President has enquired about taking over the Washington Police force.

This looks like civil war.

For me it's a dispute.

Both Dems and Repubs support of different groups in Nicaragua led to tens of thousands of deaths. Neither are 'clean'.

Civil War - nope

For a guy who avoided the draft Trump sure loves calling in the military

Many people from other countries don’t realize that the currant commander and chief of the military is the president.

Also during the Vietnam conflict it was a form of protest to avoid the draft with many getting college deferments, destroying draft cards, moving to other countries and having medical deferments .The first and the last where quite common ,and people have not made a big deal of it especially during the latter years of some popular athletes lives. Now when one hears this I and many others realize the intent of the liberal media to propagate this narrative .

‘Looting is the price of freedom!’

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

Washington has conveniently forgotten

its cynical advice to post-invasion Iraq.

You really need to put that into context and give the full quote

He would be truly appalled by the violence because he gave his life for this stuff," said Al Clark, 62, a black man who drove to the Minneapolis memorial with one of King's speeches blaring from his truck.

It’s obvious to me that politicians and liberal rights activists through out the years haven’t been able to solve hate which is systemic through out the world.

Mayhem has to be met with intervention and  law enforcement

It's De Blasio refusing to deploy National Guard troops as the Governor of New York advised.

Cuomo is on record for attacking his fellow Democrat de Blasio as not doing his job.

De Blasio is not doing what he should be doing, protecting life and property in New York, because his own family, and no doubt his own sympathies, side with the left wing extremists causing the destruction.

Meanwhile in Washington Trump has the power to take over the local police in emergency situation. However the Democrat mayor threatens legal action if that happens.

This looks like civil war. If Trump were to enact the Insurrection Law I don't think mayors and governors who hate him would comply and do what the law requires. The mayor of DC has already refused to comply with the White House' request to take over the police.

Cuomo said he,diblasio  underestimated the problem.

Finally a dem confessing there is a problem imop

Addressing 'hate' within any society is a long term effort and extremely challenging to achieve. Sadly social discord and 'hate' created is the ownership of both extreme left and right of society. Unfortunately in the US there is currently a President who is to the right of centre usually encouraging 'hate' of any who disagree with him rather than seeking means to peacefully settle political disagreements. Intervention by force does not eradicate 'hate', just kicks the can along the road. Professional unbiased law enforcement of course assist with suppressing criminal activity, not political disputes, though as proven in recent days, empathy by law enforcement officers does reduce tensions. it's a great shame trump doesn't seem to comprehend the power of empathy. On the other side of the coin if he did express empathy how many would trust him after more than 19,000 lies, disinformation and misinformation statements since he came to power. To use an English expression, comes across trump is on a losing wicket.

Empathy sounds nice(it always has in every admin),peaceful solutions sounds perfect. At the end of the day law and order prevails
