Daily News reported that hours of torrential rain in Nakhon Ratchasima last night left many areas flooded.

Particularly badly hit was the popular night market SaveOne off the Mitraphap Highway a few kilometers outside the central part of the north eastern Thai city.

Smaller vehicles were unable to pass the flood waters as emergency teams scurried to alleviate the problems.

Same as 40 years ago , stuck in a hire car. Not much progress in dealing with droughts and floods in this country. It's as if every changing season takes them completely by surprise.

Same as 75 years ago, bullock cart wheel got stuck in the mud and those lazy beasts... you can imagine!

Back around 1978, the Loei River overflowed.  There was about a meter of water on the main street by the market in downtown Loei.  It took a few days to subside.
