Starting young! Quack orthodontist arrested in Korat is just 17

Trading standards officers, police and health officials armed with a search warrant raided an illegal orthodontist clinic in downtown Nakhon Ratchasima yesterday. 

 

It was being run by an unqualified teen who the media called "A" who is just 17 years old. 

 

She said that she had been offering her service for 600-1000 baht a time to other young people. 

 

Police took a lot of equipment and appointment books into evidence from the shop in Muang district of the north eastern Thai city also known as Korat. 

 

"A" had been advertising on Facebook for the last six months on a site that said she offered "Fashion Orthodontics".

 

Police warned about the dangers of having braces fitted by unqualified practitioners, reported Sanook.

This young lady was trying to make some money to afford the cost of the usual Thai orthodontist certificate.

 

What "service" was she supplying ? Some barbers will not cut your hair if you don,t enjoy the "service" provided ????

What "service" are you referring to ?

Not real orthodontics practices, just "stick-on" fashion braces?

Is that really illegal without a cert/license?
