I'm curious to know what people think about the coverage this policy offers.  I've had it for a few years now but really just started thinking that the "hospital general expenses" limit per disability seems quite low.  I just kind of assumed I had 5 million baht coverage....  I have plan 4 and am now 60 so it is pretty cheap.   Any insurance experts have some feedback?  I have no health problems and no pre-existing conditions (knock wood!).  I had planned on going with a better policy when this expired as they told me initialy they would not insure past 60 but they have informed me they will now insure to 70 instead of 60.  Thanks for your construcive help!

"Hospital general expenses" is a gold mine for hospitals especially now with the COVID environment.  All the personal protection apparel and all the other hospital, doctors, and nurses miniscule supplies will "nickel and dime" your general expenses.

Keep the policy and hopefully they will not increase your premiums because of your age unless you can find another insurance policy with comparable coverage for age over 60.

I go to the Thai government hospital, went last month, it's still only 50bht, no 'general expenses'.

you are 60,  so every year insurance will get more and more expensive and some who are in their 70's cannot acquire any insurance. If you are covered for what you feel is acceptable given your health and future anticipated longevity,  then go with it and feel comfortable. If you are skeptical about the cover and feel it's not sufficient than look elsewhere.

plan now for the future.

why stay with a carrier that you know will drop you at 70, when it's likely too late to find an alternative?  the policies that will cover you for life would have a cut off age to apply.

Thanks for the responses.  I'm hoping to get some feedback on the policy coverage.   I always figured I could go back the USA if I got a serious non-emergency illness and use Obamacare or medicare after 65.  Not so sure now.
