Police insist key witness in ‘Boss’ case died in an accident

Police announced on Thursday (August 13) that autopsy results show Jaruchat Madthong – a key witness in Vorayuth “Boss” Yoovidhya’s hit-and-run case, had 218 milligrams of alcohol in his blood and this was the cause of the accident that killed him. 

 

Pol Lt-General Prachuap Wongsuk, chief of Provincial Police Region 5 said the autopsy had been done at Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital. 

 

He added that Jaruchat’s missing phone is also being tracked down by the investigating team. 

 

Jaruchat was killed in an accident in Chiang Mai on July 30, just one day after Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha set up a panel to review the Office of the Attorney General’s decision to drop charges against the member of a super-rich family. People have been speculating that somebody may have wanted Jaruchat killed, especially since his testimony would have put Vorayuth in hot water. 

 

Prachuap added that Jaruchat worked for the Chiang Mai magnate Chuchai Lertpongadisorn, who has already testified to the police.

And Boss travelled at 77kph, less than 60kph and 177.25kph. So naturally the "Witness" died of natural causes. Is the other "Witness" under Police protection?

Having several well dressed cronies behind you just gives off desperation of wanting to be believed.  The sad thing about the Thai government is its lack of transparency which leaves little in the way of trust.  Boss gate, panther gate all make the average Thai feel that the 1% are way above the law.

If only the police had done their job correctly in the first place, keep loss of face out of this he broke the law and should be made to pay to society for his obvious lack of remorse and feelings for other less fortunate people who don't have mega rich families to help smooth out life's wrinkles. Boss should also be made to pay for all the time wasting he has caused, police time, court time etc. .............!!!

I was in the company of a couple of educated professional Thais (senior nurses) yesterday evening when this business was being discussed on the TV. Their anger at the obvious corruption was palpable, as was their contempt for the police spokesman and frustration at the apparent inability to do anything about it.

 

As one said: " money, only money".

Plus the fact that there's no such thing as an 'accident'. It's always the result of some error somewhere - whether drinking, drugs, driving without due care and attention, not obeying traffic rules, etc.

 

It's one of the reasons the UK police changed from using the three-letter-acronym RTA - Road Traffic Accident, to use RTC - Road Traffic Collision.

..utter rubbish..the witness died of injuries sustained as a result of a motor vehicle accident...by the way...this so-called witness had never given testimony nor been challenged.

The autopsy showed death occurred as a result of injuries hitting the road... that's all.

If it was an accident why did his mobile phone mysteriously go missing....

My brother-in-law is still lives in Chon Buri lost his phone, watch and wallet about 6 years ago on Christmas Eve after a Falang firm Christmas break up party.  Both he, and the guy who knocked them off the bike were probably under the affluence of incohol.
