I was hoping this might have turned into a Bullit style car chase around the expressways of Bangkok with the 'cade crashing into Gov' house at the end .. but the aquamarine Honda soon put paid to that ..

...it was his mum bringing him his num-nums and formula he left at home.

The Honda could have had a guy with a shooter........????

If the motorcade security could not pounce/deal with this guy in short order then who ever trained them needs to be given a desk job. :coffee1:

Sounds like another security tightening scam to me

That's what I first thought, a setup for blaming the opposition.

Well, if you have seen the movie, “Unhinged” you might suspect it was Russell Crowe honking the horn....????????????????

I don't think a shooter is going to charge along the expressway tooting their horn loudly to announce their presence. ????

The car got in a position to be taken care of by security, horn or gun....????

It maybe special treatment because he is prime minister of the country. Quite a few heads of state get special treatment for traffic and security these days

The PM's motorcade probably buzzed the Honda from behind while he was speeding along in the outside lane and pushed him out of the way. Honda driver, feeling king of the road, was well <deleted> off and gave chase to try to overtake them, not realising who the occupant was.

Hey Prayuth motorcade, “do you know who I am”!

He is treated like any other head of State. Do you believe any of those in a position of power drive themselves to and from, and do not have security teams providing an escort wherever they go. If you do you live on another planet. A long time ago it might have been needed but with people who try and do stupid things to these people well tgats why they are escorted. Now, with saying that, not everyone working for the government needs an escort, only those who are in a position to do the work necessary to assist the people.

Earlier this year, the UK's Chancellor was held up for a considerable time in a traffic jam while on his way from Downing Street to Parliament to deliver his budget speech. No special escort 'get out of my way' treatment for him, even on his 'big day'.

Government House sources said that Special Branch police have been ordered to find the driver of the aquamarine-coloured Honda Accord, who chased the Prime Minister’s convoy as it was travelling on the expressway towards the Yommaraj exit.

Just another day on Thai roads, someone had t wait for the PM's motorcade to have priority, but just in time to see the emergency decree extended to Xmas !

For everyone's safety out on the streets of course.

Sounds rather civilised!

So what why  was his security not more alert to the situation

I can imagine they were in front and behind his car to stop anyone getting close

Maybe needs reviewing

Sounds kind of strange.  Why wouldn't the security around him taken care of the matter?  Or called for some police support?

Anyway if true it was probably a fanboy excited to see him.

My guess is he will ban aquamarine Honda Accords

There will also be a crackdown on
- Honda Accords

- The colour aquamarine

He will probably also ban alcohol and put a curfew in place.

Its all he knows how to do...

I found the Satanic hand signal in his photo most interesting......... If he is in the Red Shoe Club he won't be around much longer............

I had the same reaction ... that and the demonic smile. Then it occurred to me that he is probably just listening to Carabao in his other ear bud

When you take the job of a PM of 70 million people, one should prepare to deal with some are are bound to show their displeasure and discontent in every which way, and as long as thailand is a democracy, those unhappy will continue to show it...

"as long as thailand [sic] is a democracy" 555

Democracy, not even close...

I have to say... the Thais are becoming very courageous/desperate/brazen. I hope it does not turn out badly for them...

But Thailand is not a democracy at this time. That might be the problem.

Almost the closest to any kind of combat he has been near to. He needs another special ribbon to put on his Civil Servant uniform. Will be interesting to hear the opposition and the student's remarks regarding this. Things are definitely heating up against him and his crony regime of elites.

Come the day when a blood clothed man on his white horse draws up on him ????

Enlighten me please. When was Thailand ever a true democracy?
