Enlighten me please. When was Thailand ever a true democracy?

You can have one whilst a Communist lurks about.

Yeah, the Honda Accord is a dangerous weapon. Jail everyone with one!

All vehicles in Thailand are dangerous weapons when Thai's are driving them !

I don't think a shooter is going to charge along the expressway tooting their horn loudly to announce their presence. ????

TIT, don't be surprised! They are not the sharpest pencils in the box!

When you take the job of a PM of 70 million people, one should prepare to deal with some are are bound to show their displeasure and discontent in every which way,

....especially when you are so cheeky to steal the whole country from it's people

He is treated like any other head of State. Do you believe any of those in a position of power drive themselves to and from, and do not have security teams providing an escort wherever they go. If you do you live on another planet. A long time ago it might have been needed but with people who try and do stupid things to these people well tgats why they are escorted.

I'm from an other planet. The Dutch PM regularly cycles to work (parliament is just a few km away from his house), can occasionally be spotted walking outside parliament on his own (My late wife found it absolutely facanating when she saw the PM walking a meter or so past her, that wouldn't happen in TH she said). If the PM or ministers do go buy car it's generally just 1 chauffeured audi. No escorts. Our head if state (king) may get a 2 motorcycle escort to accompany his car but he has also been seen cycling around on his own.

As for Prayuth: If a driver flashing his lights and honking upsets him and his security escort... 555

Sounds like another security tightening scam to me

agree, maybe another way to implement a curfew

just wondering who the heck would want to hurt such a nice old man, what "bad" has he done for people to want hurt him 555 (sarcasm intended)

The tides are changing and the sands are shifting.

not everyone working for the government needs an escort, only those who are in a position to do the work necessary to assist the people.

You are exactly correct, and how many of those do you suppose are using an escort? I mean, how many escorts help the common folk? and how many escorts are demanded by complete posers? who do nothing more than pocket fistfuls of those same folk's cash giving nothing back?

I’m sure this was just someone disoriented and woozy driving home from his dentist appointment.. ????

the driver of which occasionally sounded its horn, in an apparent show of discontent.

In June 2014 we had the PM hating George Orwell's 1984, with those reading it charged with 'eating a sandwich with political intent'.

Perhaps this driver will be charged with something equally stupid:

'Driving with political intent' or 'sounding a horn with political intent'?

They just haven't made up the charge yet.

sit in the right hand lane dawdling along for  km after km when they should be on the left and again why any special treatment  anyway.

I thought they needed special treatment for their 'special needs'?

Haven't seen the PM's taxi as of late.  Was a MB a few years ago...maybe something like this one.  Built to withstand a scathing attack of an auto horn and flashing headlamps.

I think it is the state of his head that needs to be treated.

I doubt that would be the case if Geert Wilders was PM

Does anyone know how fast they were going.....is it possible to work out the speed of a moving car...???

The Honda could have had a guy with a shooter........????

If the motorcade security could not pounce/deal with this guy in short order then who ever trained them needs to be given a desk job. :coffee1:

or a non active post spying on the student protests. ????

Sounds kind of strange.  Why wouldn't the security around him taken care of the matter?  Or called for some police support?

Anyway if true it was probably a fanboy excited to see him.

“Or called for some police support”
