 The most ridiculous part of the speech was when she was going on about Trump being responsible for the mob looting, burning and rioting. Words fail me.

You post a total misrepresentation of the situation.   Under Obama there was no policy of separating children from their parents, the only exception was when it was necessary because the parent(s) were being charged with a major crime -- drug trafficking etc..   Then, as with unaccompanied minors, they were held only until a suitable relative, home or facility could be found.   The same occurs when people are arrested who are citizens.   

You also fail to realize that the burning, looting and rioting are occurring under Trump's watch.  No matter how you cut it, he's President and he has stoked the fires of civil unrest and he is reaping the reward.   

Her speech was accurate, insightful and truthful.  Not to mention it was inspiring.

Fox News gave her praise for the speech, and we all know they would have ripped it to pieces if it weren't true. Chris Wallace said she "Really flayed, sliced and diced Donald Trump." Nice try though.

Your commentary on the 'cages' is spot on, plus they were only designed to hold people for 72 hours whilst alternate holding facilities were made available, though at times they were overwhelmed and took a bit longer. trump administration kept people in the 'cages' for weeks plus the policy was designed to 'punish' innocent children as a way to get at the parents - contrary to all humanitarian principles.

1. Raising the federal minimum wage to $15/hour

2. Back to supporting unions in earnest

3. 12 weeks paid family leave for newborns

4. Fund universal pre-K for 3 & 4 year olds.

5. Create affordable daycare

6. Fix the crumbling infrastructure

7. Transition to 100% clean electricity over the next 15 years

8. Expand healthcare

9. Lower the age from 65 to 60 for medicare eligibility

10. End privatized prisons & cash bails

 

It wasn't any hatred and the negativity was fact-by-fact based. 45's platform - hatred, negativity and division. The Dems continually say how we need to pull the country back together again. 45 continually spews words of how the Dems are coming to destroy the universe.

I believe there are some arcane internal party rules by which Republican Party Chairperson, maybe in consultation with state and other Party officials, can remove a candidate (I recall some discussion about this in 2016 when Trump first won the nomination and it was feared by some that he would loose the election). But in all practicality, there really is no way to do this (as we saw in 2016).

All government programs are funded by the tax payer, your argument is specious.

 

I do agree Dems need to focus on how they propose to reverse the damage trump has created by undermining US institutions, attempts to stifle Free Speech by calling out those who disagree with him as traitors / scum.  Demanding personal loyalty, rather than to the constitution, nepotism and so many other issues which need to be addressed when trump is removed from power. Should Dems win both the Senate and the House should pre-announce a timetable of actions.

 

Obama's message of hope is the removal of trump for a fairer America, which for the moment looks as though it is the majorities wish, though as I said above, IMO, really needs to be refocussed on actions across the board, not just talked about by the Executive layer. Probably a good idea to tighten up their Party Platform document.

The fact that she, a Qanon conspiracy theorist and open, documented, blatant racist, is accepted by the Republican party is almost impossible to believe.
