Caldera
Fear not, Boss! These bumbling idiots have made sure that you can safely wait until the statute of limitations for this charge, too, will have expired. It's all window dressing for the fuming public. rucker4012
Tropicalevo is spot on. They think charging him with something is better than no charge. Maybe the public will be hoodwinked. New charge can have a suspended outcome, whereas "causing and accident resulting in death" can carry up to life in prison if my farang sources are correct. sitanonchai
well there will be some new brown envelopes handed out and after that's been done there will be a statement that the lab test was contaminated and that everything was ok.

His dentist came forward and said that this was due to his dental treatment! Ok, so now that proves the dentist was deliberately lying to try and help Boss. Shouldn't he be charged with obstruction of justice and maybe the brown envelope should be confiscated too. You really need to keep up the dentist confirmed his treatment was 5 day before the accident and he didnt use cocaine and your brown envelope <deleted> is getting boring

Pol Lt-Gen Charuwat Waisaya, the assistant police chief and chair of the panel, said today that he had submitted the findings, and the list of the 20 officers, to the national police chief, Pol Gen Chakthip Chaijinda, for consideration of disciplinary or legal action to be taken against them. Surely cocaine possession gets serious time. nah, they already got his (soon to be late?) dentist testifying that the 'traces' of cocaine were from a routine dental procedure. baby bull is therefore innocent, and all blame shall fall on the dentist, who with a suitable brown parachute, shall wai and apologize profusely, then pay his 500 baht fine. She had been charged, her case heard, was waiting for the verdict and was on bail. Vorayuth had not been arrested, nor was a warrant issued for his arrest when he left. No similarity, at all,,between her circumstances and Vorayuth's! "There's hundreds of posts about people who pee tested positive and were charged with possession". "Oh, you'd better check" your sources because no, there aren't. There may be a small handful who have been charged with using drugs detected in their systems, not possession. IAMHERE
New plan; convict (or at least try him) him of a low level charge with minimum sentence or charge him with a crime that can't possibly be convicted on. Even if convicted no real jail time. Case Closed.
Iron Tongue
You guys don't understand what this actually means. By charging Boss for driving under influence of cocaine, they have started the clock for prosecution under the statute of limitations. So while outraged Thais and farang think justice is being served, Boss continues to jet around the world and party (probably with a €500k Maltese EU passport). In five years when it expires, he can return to Thailand without any issues at all.

No, there haven't, not yet, there's been plenty of unsubstantiated Thaivisa poster speculation though! If all these bribes were paid how come he had to go on the run and how come an arrest warrant was issued for him?
