My new computer have a lightscribe !

I think it is a feature you can write on a dvd ?

Do you have to buy special dvd blank disc ?

The price compare to normal dvd disc ?

When the copy is done , you turn the disc over to do the lightscribe ?

What program to use for lightscribe ?

Thank you for the reply ( replies )

Yes you are right

Yes you must have LightScribe disc

Should not be much more expensive. When I asked 6 months back, it was THB50 each

When the copy is done , you turn the disc over to do the lightscribe ?

Yes, it will burn the data and then you flip the disc and it will write on the disc as well.

What program to use for lightscribe ?

Any DVD burner that offers label making option :o

I've got one of those lightscribe things as well.

Pretty neat, but if you make a reasonably high resolution picture to scribe on the disc, it takes a looong time! Way longer then the time needed to burn the data!

Takes about 30 minutes with my drive (LG)...

From what I understand, if I download the LightScribe 'addon' (host thing) for Nero, then Nero would do it right?

Can somebody confirm that? Thanks!

Yes, I've got the add-on for Nero.

You might like to download the patch from the LightScribe site that gives you more contrast in the image that the laser produces. Makes the process even slower though, although the finished result can look quite good.

The prices of Lightscribe media are something like;

25 Baht for Lightscribe CD-rom (HP)

35 Baht for Lightscribe DVD (single layer, 4.7GB)

Works fine with my LG DVD-drive, but never get the high contrast I see at the www.lightscribe.com website.
