Money Transfer From Canada To Thailand - Recent Development

Featured Replies

TD CanadaTrust has introduced a new Global Transfer feature which allows transfer of USD and CAD to Thailand into 3 different sources in Thailand which are: Western Union, Bank Account and VISA debt card including VISA refillable credit card.

I tried today 01 September 2020 at about 21:30 Thailand time for bank accounts. Below are the results of the samples:

Rates in Bangkok at 21:30 01SEP2020 using Grand SuperRich Exchange

USD 31.03

CAD 23.70

Using above rates for net amount transfer of $3,500 USD = 108,605 THB; CAD $3,000 = 71,100 THB

With fees, USD$3,509.99 = 108,914.99THB; CAD$3,009.99 = 71,336.763THB These are the amounts of THB you get if exchanged cash in Bangkok, the same amount that comes out of your TD bank account.

TD Global Transfer into bank account; USD$3,500 = 105,389.94; CAD$3,000 = 69,092.58

More cash you get if you exchange in Bangkok  USD cash 3,525.05 THB (USD$113.60); CAD 2,244.183 THB (CAD$94.69)
