Even though the two complainants are the daughters of the Prime Minister, he said police will treat the complaint like any other

So with complete and utter ineptitude then unless there is something in it for him, then with well meaning ineptitude due to being a bit thick....

Asked about the case by reporters, the Prime Minister said that he had nothing to do with it, because his daughters are already adults and they have the right to protect their reputation.

Seems like only "adults" here who can say and do what they want!

well they had to do something meaningful, so as to keep daddys wrath towards them both, at bay

 - they gotta get back into his good books now,

so as to keep their cut of his fortune when he eventually caarks it...

This thread is pointless without a photo of the daughters!

I've heard the former Thai music group called Badz might be pertinent...

So reported The Guardian a few years back...

Curiously, on his Wikipedia bio page in EN, neither of the daughters are listed at all in the children section.

Dubai always seems to be a popular location, along with Australia now and again...

Australia? Completely closed to foreigners and everyone going there needs to quarantine for 14 days.

The comment had nothing to do with current CV travel restrictions...

It was about where Thai people who suddenly decide they want/need to leave the country often tend to go....

Yea, it's not nice being harassed, is it?

Wish he shared this kind of sentiment for the general public. He seems to think they're children who need to be controlled and told what to do.

Uncle Too should be ashamed that he brought his daughers in this situation. They will suffer their whole life from having this father. :coffee1:

Interesting! Do you know anything about their political stance? I mean, I am 97% sure that they are ultra-conservative. But maybe, maybe.....

PM’s daughters file defamation complaint with police

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s twin daughters assigned a lawyer from the PM’s Office to file a police complaint on Wednesday, alleging defamation on social media.

Thanya and Nittha Chan-o-cha are trending in social media after netizens tried to identify their whereabouts in response to authorities’ attempts to track down family members of anti-government protesters.

The twins said they had never involved themselves in their father’s political duties, according to a statement delivered on Wednesday by their lawyer, Apiwat Khanthong.

Meanwhile Prayut told reporters that his daughters were adults who had the right to protect their reputations.

The daughters said they would sue anyone who falsely accused them of illegal activities in other countries, of leaving the country, of studying in Australia, failing to pass university exams, living in a mansion in England, laundering money, receiving money from their father, or hiding the fact they were the daughters of the PM.

The allegations were untrue, and they had decided to take legal action to protect the family’s dignity, said Apiwat.
