Locking For A Nice Hotel Close To Pratunam Market !

Century park hotel is about 5 minutes straight shot down Ratchaprarop to Pratunam.

A popular hotel with businessmen, it's tough to get a room without reservation.

Priced right, and nicer than Baiyoke (I've heard horror stories about that place) cheaper than Amari Watergate last time I was shopping around.

There's some decent restaurants within walking distance and a pub attended by university students is a short walk as well.

Here's a link.....you may find better prices elsewhere( Asiarooms.com?)....

Centre Point, right around the corner on Petchaburi soi 15 was always one of my favorites. Price around 1800 Baht for a studio.

Website: http://www.centrepoint.com/

Edit: for the best price, don't book it at the reception, instead take the elevator to the F (facilities) floor, and book at the travel agency... TIT

I agree with you Eric, Century Park is a good hotel but

book here for a better price AND a very good Bangkok map where you can easily find a hotel at the particular location you want to stay:

There are a lot of hotels you can get in that area for a budget of 2000baht. I live in the area and can recommend

Baiyoke Suites, needs some reno work but you're getting a suite 50sqm for around B$1200

Baiyoke Sky, B$1500 and up depending on floors

Indra Regent B$1500 and up

Stella House, B$900 but the area smells like a sewer

Amari Watergate, 5Stars, definitely more then B$2000.

These are all in Pratunam Market.

Across the road in the Makkasan area.

Eastin, D'Ma, Bangkok Palace, all around B$1200 and about 5 walk from Pratunam Market

Golden Inn, I live next to it, dont know if I would recommend it, B$1000 or less

PJ Watergate.

Its also the low season so you might get deals
