Posting from Thailand to Australia

Featured Replies

Have a reasonably small box to post back to Australia, a component to be repaired and sent back. I'd say box about 20cm x 20cm and under 500 grams. Postage from here used to be a ridiculous price and unreliable too, at least 3 weeks to get there but haven't sent anything for a few years. Talking Australia specifically here.

Anyone have any recent experience? Is there a particular service to ask for? Hopefully would like it back there in a week if possible.

Tried to get something sent from Thailand to Australia a while back.

Guy at the post office said Australia is not accepting any post parcels at this time.

Told my friend to try back in a month or so.

The above should be the latest info. Before the virus the list was about a page long.

Courier post is something new they started.

Thanks guys, yeah I estimate around 1500-2000 baht ($80+), and then there would be the return cost. I note they don't even give a rough estimate of delivery time and as usual their English page is half English / Thai. How can government websites be so bad? Well I think I have some idea.....

Anyway, in this case I think the post will be prohibitive. Wanting to send something back for repair will end up 3 times the value of the actual item
