libya 115
SOURCE: Pattaya People: April 29th 2007 Child and Belongings Taken from Laundry Shop While Police Lieutenant Colonel Chaiyakrit Thongin, Investigations Inspector of Pattaya Police Station, was working up in his office at half past noon on 25th April, Mrs. Pranee Thasuay walked in to inform him that she had been fooled by a confidence trickster who not only robbed her but also kidnapped her daughter from her laundry shop in SP Mansion, South Pattaya Road. Mrs. Pranee, aged 30, stated that while she was working in her laundry shop with her assistant a woman walked in and stated that she works in a hotel on 2nd Road and her manager asked her to come find a laundry shop to hire for doing laundry for the hotel. Mrs. Pranee stated that she was extremely happy because it would mean a lot of income for her shop. The woman then asked her to go with her to see the manager but before leaving, requested her to leave her belongings such as gold and mobile phone at the shop because the manager didn’t like people wearing them. Mrs Pranee did so and left with the woman. After a while the woman told Mrs. Pranee to wait in a coffee shop while she went to bring the manager. However, after waiting patiently for almost an hour she lost her cool and returned to her laundry shop where she was shocked to learn that the woman had returned earlier to the laundry telling the assistant that Mrs. Pranee forgot her things and asked the woman to bring them also her 11 year old daughter to her. The woman got away with a 2 Baht gold necklace and bracelet, a Swiss gold necklace, a mobile phone, about 20,000 Baht cash and her 11 year old daughter. The police noted all the information and an investigating is now underway to find the woman and the kidnapped child.
