Over Bt180m set aside for participation in Dutch horticultural expo

Locals, migrant workers queue up for tests after Covid-19 scare in Mae Sot

Hundreds of Thais and migrant workers queued up at the Pa Charoen Market in Tak’s Mae Sot district on Tuesday morning to be tested for Covid-19 after three Myanmar drivers, who had come to the district to pick up products, were found to be infected.

PHUKET: Heavy rains over the past week have helped to replenish the island’s three main reservoirs to healthy levels, meaning island residents may be spared water shortages for the rest of the year, the new Phuket Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) Chief Sophon Thongsai has announced.

When Foreign Minister Wang Yi visits Thailand  on Wednesday and Thursday as part of his tour of Southeast Asia, China’s top diplomat is expected to sign a contract for a 252km high-speed rail link between Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima in the east of the country.

HANOI/PHNOM PENH (Reuters) - Nearly 40 people have died in Vietnam and Cambodia and scores more were missing, including rescuers, due to prolonged heavy rain and flash flooding as tropical storm Nangka edged towards the Vietnamese coast on Tuesday.

Thai military on standby to help victims of tropical storm Nangka

Military units, tasked with public disaster relief responsibilities,have been placed on standby, to help people affected by flooding, as Thailand’s Meteorological Department warns of heavy rains, from tomorrow until Friday, triggered by tropical storm Nangka, which is forecast to make landfall in Vietnam tomorrow or Thursday.
