Cheapest ground coffee in Thailand ? 79thb/250g casino coffee (french coffee brand), I always knew that coffee was overpriced in Thailand

Does anyone know where I can buy some refillable, reusable capsules to suit a Nespresso pod machine?

I'd love to give some of this ground coffee a try, and I'd like to move away from the less ecological offerings that Nespresso provides.

What kind of machine can you get for thb250?

I use (and would recommend to anyone interested) an Aeropress; they're about thb600 on Lazada.

Thanks for that. It is a promotion and a good price at that, will try to get some.

The casino expresso used to be my go to ground coffee when it was 125 baht per 250g. Then bic c started rapid increasing the price of this coffee, 1st to 165 baht then up to and the price stabilised at 195 baht.

After the increase to 165 baht I stopped buying it as there are many other good ground coffees one can buy for around 110 baht per 250g.

do you agree that this coffee price is unseen in Thailand ?

Usually all coffee is sold 200+ / 300+ right ?

Is that per kilogramme?

250 thb is already too expensive for a minimal machine which function is only to boil water !

Any coffee machine that costs more to just boil water is a scam.

Not necessarily - if pressure's involved, engineering & safety gets more difficult. But I'm still curious just what kind of machine this is....

The Casino Colombian and Brazil brands were my go-to coffees until the price skyrocketed two or three years ago. I switched to Hillkoff coffee. Tasty and good value.

I used to buy Thai Arabica beans from Chiang Rai for around 250 baht / kilo and used a grinder.

I am sure you can still order online.

If it uses boiling water to make coffee, bin it. It will make the coffee more bitter. 90-96c is the right temperature for the water.

I also noticed and bought a few bags of their organic fair trade coffee and the Peruvian Arabica, both marked down to 79 baht.  However, I think what is happening is that they are discontinuing the Casino brand of coffee and this is a final sale price.

Lazada or Shoppee.  Quite cheap!

Red cliff thai coffee is 499b a kilo search on google or https://www.redcliffcoffee.com/product/100-arabica-coffee-1-kg/

I ordered some Redcliffe beans just recently, but I was a bit disappointed. There is no date stamp on the packet and there was little aroma when I opened the packet or when I ground the beans. It is clearly Arabica, but the taste is unremarkable.

My favorite "coffee maker".  French press.  Also works for loose leaf tea.

https://www.lazada.co.th/products/french-press-i557668944-s1023848577.html

Little bit of a nuisance to clean...

How many have you broken while cleaning? I usually use my aeropress now for a cleaner taste but the French press still comes out for some of the beans I buy.

To keep my coffee spending down I mostly buy green Thai peaberry beans at about 250 per kg, but I also sample other roasted beans every month.

I've also been using the Otto coffee maker for years now and it just does the job.

My favourite coffee is the NLCoffee Espresso Blend 390 baht a kilo;

I bought a cheap grinder and it's been good for two years already.
