Strong currents swept away two cars in Satun province even though some 50 people tried to tie up the cars before they disappeared.

The flooding in Satun has been a worry after heavy, continuous rain had made the roads impassable on Wednesday.

Soldiers showed up to deliver aid packages comprising food items and water to people who were stranded at home on Tuesday night.

Locals also had to tie down their vehicles and those driving had to jump out after strong currents nearly swept them away on Tuesday night.

They should teach Thais that most modern cars are almost airtight and will easily float in deep water...

Until the slow leaks fill-it up then it will sink as nature intended.

Morale of the story "it's not a boat" !
