Why would I need to convince myself of the truth? Pits and the like are being banned because they aren't being trained properly, as the many pet owners would agree. The dogs were bred as attackers from a long time ago, and some people think it's okay to have an untrained dog of any breed. The problem here is that again, pits and the like are capable of a lot of damage fast. Just as the shepherds, dobermans ,huskies and others have shown, a large dog needs special training or it can be very dangerous. Any dog can be vicious and any dog can have a calm demeanor. I know people who've had pits until the dog died, many of them, and those dogs never attacked anyone and were very friendly, so there's a reason dogs go haywire. The same with humans. You raise a child with love and respect, they\ll grow to love and respect. You raise a child in an abusive environment, they'll grow up thinking it's normal to hurt others, as history has shown. People kill more people than animals do. -

Well, I HAVE noticed that the USA has been at war for most of its history. Indeed, it does NOT look good on paper but that is not the fault of Americans. Most of us realize that although we can vote, very little will be left up to a vote regarding military action. The closest we came was the reaction against the Vietnam War.
