If an 'alien' re-enters Thailand to continue their one year extension do they need this paper and to pay for this insurance? it doesn't matter one year extension, A-O visa or any visa ..... if you enter Thailand by border or airport you will need to show COVID cover. The premiums range from 1,600-4,800 Baht for 30 days of coverage; from 2,880-8,640 Baht for 60 days; from 3,840 – 12,160 Baht for 90 days; from 7,680 – 23,040 Baht for 120 days, and from 14,400 – 43,200 Baht for one year.' Any foreigner entering requires a COE -- regardless of visa type -- for which insurance is one of the conditions. Not that re-entry on an extension of stay is currently possible only if married to (or parent of) a Thai.

My usual travel insurance is around 1000 baht or £25 for a policy that covers $1,800,000 medical expenses. Insurance in Thailand is insanely expensive and a total rip-off. 12

The insurance companies and the hospitals have very nice arrangements which benefit each other, but not the population, and certainly not their foreign victims, oh so sorry, guests. If the recent protests have the desired effect it is bodies like these that will have to change as well. 6

This is one of the reasons why the Thais are fed up with the regime and its clowns that support everything they do and watch over and see protesting to get them out and make a change. Corrupt, abusive, discriminating, racist and greedy. 9

Popular Post ThailandRyan
As usual another hair brained scheme to make money for the Land of simians. Who do they really think will buy overpriced insurance that gives only the people who own the insurance stocks in there portfolio true piece of mind. Winner for them looser for the buyer. Popular Post Mops59
Crazy requirements. A lot of people have insurance already in their home country including travel insurance. Incoming tourists have to spend money big time before even entering.the country. And even more to be allowed to travel around. Popular Post RichardColeman
Not even going to worry about it yet, Way I see it is that these are mad requirements for return during covid times , and will in all likelihood disappear or be changed when covid is behind us. Thailand is driven by tourism, once a they see people will not come and pay for this outside of covid it will be gone.

Popular Post Grumpy John
Everyone needs to take a deep breath and relax. It no different to any other scheme/scam that the muppets come up with here. It's about money. It's always about money. And if you have insurance already that covers the Wuhan China virus you will be OK. I am just wondering if there was this much excitement on the forum about the departure tax they levy on everyone leaving the country? 800 baht added to your ticket price. And the arrival tax they planned to charge everyone with...have they snuck that in yet? Scamland wants your money. Decide to come and you will pay!
