May be the Virus survived on something , the previous ( possibly infected ) occupant of the quarantine facility , touched ?

Not good enough cleaning ? Would not be the 1st time ...

There is a certain risk to become infected by quarantining ...

It has been reported previously that on inspection a piece of exercise equipment at the hotel was found to be contaminated.

I don't know how they will do this. Let's assume there is Corona in one of these hotels and all the people there might now be on an extended quarantine (including perhaps staff). Will they allow new people to move in there?

Anyone infected gets transferred tohospital.

Doesn’t need to be about watching tv . Some people can just sit in silence for hours contemplating and relaxing and are extremely fit and slim . Some might find it boring or driving them mad but a lot of people would be happy with utter peace and quiet . ????????????

They shouldn't have been allowed in the gym. Quarantine regs state that you must stay in your room for the first 7 days and then be allowed out of your room for one hour per day. You cannot use pools or gyms during that time. Obviously, in some hotels, the rules have gone out of the window.

Not forgetting the hotel exercise club members who come in every night after work...555.

Since the virus is present in feces, perhaps there is a possibility to become infected due to the design of the sewage vent systems here compared to those in the US or Europe. Sewer gas odors are common here, even in new buildings, and if you can smell that you can probably be exposed to the virus even if you have no direct contact with the individual.

Is this the Thai woman with the French passport?

Shush. You can't say things like that.

The Thai authorities are very fast to announce Covid-19 cases. What they never seem to report is the actual health and well-being of those "positive" cases. Are they dead, in ICU on ventilators, in ICU, in a hospital bed, have mild flu symptons ot totally sympton free? Would be interested to know the statistics.

so they don't clean the gym after each visit ?

this is Thailand, come healthy and leave in a coffin...

Who has died and left in a coffin?

3 people have been reported to have positive tests in this article, I'm guessing that they

will spend 2 more weeks in a more strictly monitored quarantine and released when clear.

Hopefully, like the majority of people who contract this virus, they make a full recovery.
