they have no idea....climate change pure and simple, explained with high school science is...

The Earth's axis is tilted 23.5 degrees from the plane of its orbit around the sun. But this tilt changes during a cycle , The tilt of the axis varies between 22.1 and 24.5 degrees. Because this tilt changes, the seasons as we know them become exaggerated

Actually you copied from the wrong section of wherever you got that text from. If what you cited was the reason for climate change, then we would expect equal amounts of extreme cold weather and extreme warm weather. But in fact, most of the records being set now are for warmth, not cold.

Jeffrey Archer write about that, a matter of honour. In the book the SU by contract owned Alaska, but the contract went missing.

i don't understand why people are blaming trump! by his nature and during his campaign, he showed the whole world who he really was and what he intended to accomplish once elected. usa are a democracy, and trump isn't a dictator, so cast opprobrium on people who voted for him!

That's a wrong move. Deforestation is a huge problem.

This isn't the first time.

Trump’s executive order will aggressively cut more forest trees

The president is intent on pushing up timber sales in spite of the shutdown. He says he wants to curb wildfires. Experts say logging trees won’t help.

I doubt the logging plans and permits that have been issued here amount to a "free for all." More likely that a careful forest management plan has been approved, with appropriate environmental impact statements and mitigation efforts in place.

There is very comprehensive management plans throughout the USA, but this is about preserving what’s left of the old growth forests that provide the air we breathe, provides watersheds and support a unique ecosystem. Once it is opened up for harvest it will never return, gone forever! Timber managed areas when replanted use a genetically  modified  trees that grow rapidly, so they can be harvested.

So bottom line, harvesting an old growth forest is big profit; the timber is higher quality, huge yield per acre.

This is actually a GOP tradition.  A long heritage of being sore losers.  Which you could say makes them perennial losers.  But it can't all be blamed on the orange guy with the big mouth, they have owned voter suppression for decades.  When the Dems became the party of Civil Rights the Republicans eagerly donned the mantel of the party of racism -- at least George Wallace outright admitted it.  While the Dems have elements of favoring business over people, for the GOP it's their credo.  The sick brilliance of that party is they have managed to convince so many people to vote against their own self-interest.

And it's a Dem tradition to clear up all the messes the GOP leave. Whether it's the economy (Clinton clearing up Bush Snr's mess, Obama clearing up Bush Jnr) or envirnomentally, the GOP continually demonstrate their inability to govern yet somehow, some way they still get voted in.
