Exchange Baht To U.s. Dollar

Featured Replies

Hey there folks,

I lent some friends some money and will be getting back in Baht. Anyone know which banks will exchange baht to dollars?

Thanks

Any of them will change it back for you.

Shop around for the best rate ..if you have the time . Now is a good time to change money , the dollar is stronger now than it has been all year.

I would ask to get back the dollar amount from your friend at todays bank rates.

But first go alone and check what bank to use.

Actually, last I checked, not every bank in Koh Samui will change baht into dollars, it also depends on the amount. I have done so at the main Bangkok Bank in Nathon (going out of town towards Bo Phut), you can also buy US dollar travellers checks there.

ok, corection ,

Any large bank ...one that you have heard of :

BKK bank

asia bank

krung bank

Thai Farmers bank

Various milatary banks

Those small booth type banks on the sidewalk. I have only seen those in Bangkok.

I know your in Samui , that might limit your choices

Just Samui, none on Phangan? Thanks guys your going to save me some running around when I get over

Seville, I have never had any luck on Koh Phangan, but then, I gave up trying about two years ago. It's worth a shot, but to be honest, given the state of service on the island, highly unlikely.
