He is also delivering hour long energetic speeches at those 5 places, surrounded by tens of thousands of cheering people.  Biden is lucky to get to the 15 minute mark of any address before starting to fade.

It's strange that both candidates are campaigning as if neither of them is the incumbent.  Of course, Biden has the right to point out the damage to the economy and public health, the spreading of deep division, bigotry and hatred, and the lies and corruption of the current regime - and how he will deal with these by being the president for both sides of the division, while calling for unity, but it really is strange that Trump is pointing out the same, and using them as examples of what a Democrat president will lead to.  These things all happened on his watch, and can soundly be attributed to his mismanagement and corruption.  Advertising these as examples of bad governance, and promising to deal with them by making the lives of his supporters "better" (whiter, manlier and gunlier (to coin a phrase)), all the while promising to clamp down on anyone not supporting him, is neither presidential, nor the rhetoric of a sane incumbent. 

 

In 2016, his main campaign strategy was to deride everything done by Obama, and anything likely to be done by Clinton - MAGA.  This time, in cloud cuckoo land, his strategy is to deride the performance of the incumbent - (and hope his supporters forget that it is him?  Which is, sadly, a plausible aim), and anything likely to be done by Biden - MAGA again, or MAGA because the incumbent made it even less great than he claimed it was in 2016?  And all the while his supporters wave their flags, shout his slogans and rant on about how America somehow became a more divided and violent place over the past four years, and it's time to make it great again by spreading more division and violence.  MADDER!

My nightmare is my cousins to the south having their country driven into recession and ruin.  Trump has faults, nobody denies it. But his foreign and economic policies have been successful. Even now, the US economy is surging- 33% GDP growth in the third quarter of the year. Half the jobs lost to Covid have already come back.  Now Biden wants to throw it all in the crapper and strangle the country again.

I think you are mixing up two separate numbers, the total national debt and the annual deficit. The deficit for this year is $3 trillion, mostly due to covid stimulus and the like.  The national debt is $27 trillion.  Niether are great numbers, but also they are smaller than if the Democrats had their way.

Nonsense ! The annual deficit had increased in last 3 years by reducing taxes on the wealthiest and corporations ! All of which has not benefitted the middle class ! Yes, she is. And yes, Trump is too.  Sometimes I think someone should break his thumbs and get him off Twitter for a week or two. But...the difference is that he gets things done. There is nothing in Sen. Harris' background to suggest that she has is anything other than a pure political animal. She has never worked in the private sector.

 

And yes Mike Pence is admirable.  He is moral, steady, well mannered, by all accounts a terrific husband and father, and a calming influence on the chaos that surrounds Trump.  In what way do you think he is not admirable?

Yes, President Obama DID pull the trigger on Bin Laden, and good for him for doing it.  Note that Joe Biden was against it. And yes there are still US troops in those locations, but far fewer than before. 

 

I would not call peace deals with three Muslim nations insignificant. The Saudis will be on board soon as well.  Plus, you can forget the Palestinians. They have been cut out of the negotiations, and rightfully so. They had numerous chances to make peace, and failed. Now they have worn out their welcome with the Sunnis and will be on the outside looking in until they smarten up. 

 

I remember the 2011 dinner. It was at that point that Trump started thinking, "I'm coming for your job, Barry". And he got it, taking out the entire DC political class in the process.
