BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's headline consumer price index (CPI) in October dropped 0.50% from a year earlier, commerce ministry data showed on Thursday.

That was in line with the 0.5% contraction forecast in a Reuters poll and followed September's 0.7% drop.

The core CPI index rose 0.19% from a year earlier, compared with a forecast of a 0.22% increase, and against September's 0.25% rise.
