Ministries to propose golf club quarantine following demand from foreign players

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports, as well as the Ministry of Public Health, will propose to the Centre for Economic Situation Administration (CESA) to allow foreigners to quarantine in golf clubs, with an aim to serve golfers from four Asian countries.

ABIDJAN (Reuters) - Ivory Coast opposition leader and former prime minister Pascal Affi N'Guessan was under arrest on Saturday for creating a rival government after President Alassane Ouattara's election victory, his wife and a spokeswoman said.

New rules being framed for state enterprises' dealings with KTB

The Comptroller-General's Department is reported to be working on new rules for state authorities to continue doing financial transactions with Krungthai Bank (KTB) and without breaching related rules despite the bank losing its state enterprise status, according to State Enterprise Policy Office director-general Prapas Kong-Ied.

Family of a yoga instructor who died while swimming in Thailand suffer another heartbreaking blow - after learning about his death from a FACEBOOK post

Tobey Martin, from Victoria, had lived in Thailand as a yoga and fitness instructor for years before he hit his head on rocks while swimming near an island in late March.

 

A family who learnt their son and brother had died while swimming in Thailand from a Facebook post have now been told they're unable to enter the country to bury him.

Financial hardship spiking Thailand’s suicide rate

Thailand’s police and health workers continue to work with online influencers such as Drama Addict, Mam Po Dum and More Lab Panda, to help identify, and if necessary intervene, in people sharing distressing messages over their battles in the current Covid era. Police have also been recruited specialist to help to prevent suicides and provide counselling.
