You guys seriously need to learn if you talk against a democrat, that does not mean you support Trump. You really cannot understand that, can you? No compute.

Sadly, a tough race. I cannot believe how many of his base actually exists. That country is so divided. It will take decades to recover a sense of civility.

Biden did not win the election, Trump lost it, there is a difference.

Yeah, minor. Rationalize away.

Plagiarism is actually a crime. Doing it multiple times is multiple crimes. Doing it in front of the entire world and not thinking you will get caught, for some odd reason, is not a crime but it is downright telling? Who on earth, pick anyone you can think of, thinks they could give a speech in front of the world and copy a Kennedy speech?

This should be 100% career ending, but we are who we are as Americans. We are not "forgiving" we are just plain stupid.

Plagiarism is actually not a crime except in cases of forgery like copying official documents. Stop spreading disinformation.

What do you expect when we have been divided, and we will continue to fight among ourselves until it's too late. There's very little difference between us, but everyone has been taught to focus on the differences and social media makes it easy to call someone names and be rude with no consequence (other than the degradation of our country)

You are just making stuff up. You haven't provided proof regarding being beholden to corporate interests so I'll leave it there.

In terms of the plagiarism I'll say it again.

I agree that he did it and it's not good. He made a mistake and paid the price. In 1988.

Comparing rape and plagiarism is in my mind ridiculous. To plagiarise a speech is lazy and silly but to my mind not earth shatteringly bad. I think most people would concur.

You are picking one mistake he made and ignoring the 1000's of lies, that have much worse implications than a plagiarised speech, from Trump.

Again, not sure why you think I would need to be for Trump when I speak about Biden. You guys' eyes of the world are shut. It is not black or white.

Yes, as I said, you are fine with a president who plagiarized multiple times at professional levels. He made the "mistake" multiple times, and did not seem to care to change.

You said it was ok because it was in 1988. I said, why are crimes from 1988 ok? Do you have an answer? Is everything I do ok, if it was 1988 or before? It is your logic, not mine. Defend it.

Hunter was paid a lot of money from China and Ukraine just for being Biden's son.

The proof isn't there. On a happy day like this I don't want to get bogged down with this sort of thing.

The worst I see is that Hunter is a bit troubled and got a job he probably didn't deserve and maybe he made claims about availability to his father he shouldn't have. No proof of Joe Biden wrongdoing.

But let's just assume for your sake it is not for now. Ok, well, I am not ok with a president who plagiarizes speeches. You are. Enough said I suppose.

Listen, they are all squeaky clean. They got into politics, not for money, but to help people. Sure, all this money has poured in from nowhere the higher he has gotten in office, but that is just from hard work. And, rest assured, Biden will have your best interests at heart. And make sure you know, no member of his family has benefited in any way from Biden's positions in the oval office.

Typing it out is surreal. I mean I just honestly cannot believe that people buy into it.

But you were okay with a President who donated charitable funds to himself and defrauded thousands of people out of their money? Those are far worse deeds.

You seem fixated with this. I didn't say it was OK. I said people make mistakes. Some people learn from their mistakes. I believe Biden is a good man and if the worst thing he has done is this I don't see it as a major thing. Reading a speech from a similar left leaning leader and liking it's tone and using it is a mistake but really do you think it should stop someone moving on with their life.

On the day of his acceptance speech if this is your biggest concern then that's fine.

Hunter Biden certainly benefited. But not even Fox news could find anything against Joe Biden in that regard. And Hunter Hunter was not a high ranking government official. Unlike Ivanka and Jared.

What happened to rationalizing and defending the plagiarism? Gave up on that one? I don't blame you.

I got one for you all, I could be wrong, call me out....

Name me one president or major politician who has blatantly, word for word, plagiarized multiple speeches. Oh, you can't? Right. That is because that is behavior that simply never happens, that is off the deep end. The only way you can come back from something like that: corporate backing. Now THAT, Biden is very good at.

Too easy,  " "Let's make America great again" was first used in Ronald Reagan's 1980 presidential campaign.

Absolutely ( in your own little parallel universe), he only won more votes  (4 million or so) and more Electoral College votes, and he never even sent any abusive tweets, not much of a man is he!

Really all that is happening here you many are smitten with Biden. I just so happen to think he a very poor candidate and I would not even consider him as a viable option. Very far from it, for many different reasons.

Thank God. It's a victory of Common Sense. Congrats to Biden. Let's just hope Trump doesn't start a world war before leaving office.

Back up your allegations. What did Biden do in his capacity as a senator or vice president to enrich himself? Stop spreading lies.

To be clearer what morally questionable actions of any sort did Biden do to enrich himself while in office?

Google  der spegil - it is hilarious indeed.

Don't want to post it here, because not sure if I get a holiday for that!

Agreed. From what I can read in the media,  Biden literally wanted to save democracy. I don't think in his age, he is bothered about money too much. Probably he'd himself prefer just to enjoy his well deserved retirement. Yes, he surely made some mistakes during his career, but sometimes the job just comes to the man...

The President who would be emperor if he could.     I'm  pleased he won't have an impact on the international scene any longer but I'm also amazed so many Yanks still worship the man.

I have to admit he does show what I'd call a fair amount of transparency but what i actually see  I find   repugnant.

Without a doubt, Donald Trump  would surely loath most  of his supporters.     The only people towards whom he can feel positive are those who can directly do something for him such as his daughter.   That would be his youngest daughter as he shuns his oldest because of her weight.

Honestly I will almost miss some of his antics but  Im relieved he won't be able to say such things as I can do whatever I want because of the power of the Presidency.

I fear the next two months until the inauguration of Joe Biden because the spiteful Donald Trump is sure to be thinking of ways to "pay back"  all those horrible voters who elected President-elect Joe Biden.

But, answer this. If everyone is so high on Biden right now, and not just high because of their hate for Trump, why was a basically a huge underperformer in much of the primary? He was almost universally ignored, which was scary given his name recognition. But, now that he's won, he is the greatest. People are just happy because they hate Trump. Biden is in no way a strong, admirable candidate, and people know it.

The fact that he won the Dem nomination is proof he did not 'underperform' in the primaries. As the primaries went on, Biden began to pull folks from the middle, as that is where his politics sit. The support for him became much more than who can beat 45. All the lies 45 tried to toss at Biden failed, because he has a long record of being barely left of center, and even repubs and independents remember Biden has a history of crossing the aisle to make deals. That realization---especially after other candidates with an audience were weeded out---won him the nomination.

Biden, with his experience and reputation, can pull the best and the brightest to help rebuild after the destruction and mess left by 45. As I have written, I am in contact with a member of Biden's transition team, and Biden has assembled an astonishing number of experts in every sphere. He has scientists who have drawn up plans to contain the virus, foreign policy experts to repair relations with allies alienated by 45, economic experts who are giving up lucrative careers to serve, intel experts to re-establish the IC that 45 tried so hard to marginalize and neuter.....everything one needs to run a successful administration and put the US back on the road to recovery.

In a way it's maybe good that so many bars are quiet/closed in Pattaya etc.

Can you imagine the boring and mind boggling conversations/arguements that would be going on.

There wouldn't be any 'discussing' going on, and for sure punch ups to follow.

Did I just forecast what's going to happen in a few places in a country with the 'right to bear arms' or should that be the 'right to arm bears'?

A rather offensive meme has been rmoved

The president elect, Harris, seems to be confirmed, but the uncertainty isn't. One riot can spread like wildfire. Trump still has the presidency and can make a speech anytime he wants, unless the US media feel like censoring him some more.

The reason people are happy is because they hate Trump. I can see that. But please don't tell me people are actually happy and excited about a Harris presidency. They may think that, but that is just a delusion. We are talking about a candidate who barely beat Trump, of all people, during a presidency with a pandemic and who had weird polling data on his side most likely slightly skewing results. I don't see that as a great vote of confidence. We'll see though, I certainly give Harris a chance.

3% more votes I don't call that barely. But then again its not a huge landslide but more then enough. Finally the liar is gone. That alone is worth celebrating.
