True, I should have said most "winners". In public life I struggle to see much of the grace and dignity in evidence during such transitions unfortunately. But hope springs eternal.

Trump is a liar and a failure at everything he does. You lost. Man up. Trump didn't talk about the election at all, except for a moment where he appeared to be on the verge of acknowledging an incoming Biden administration. But he caught himself at the last moment, saying only: "Whatever happens in the future, who knows which administration it will be. I guess time will tell."

 

Such a fatalistic tone is not what you'd expect from someone who genuinely believed the election had been stolen from him, or who thought he had a real shot at reversing the outcome. This is pure theatre at this point, a stage play directed by an utter narcissist, who cares not one iota for his nation, long held principals of honor or integrity, or democracy. Until January 20. Then President Elect Biden takes over. That can't happen soon enough. There is also the possibility that Mr. Trump will resign and then Mike Pence would become president for a few days to pardon Mr. Trump. Wouldn't that be charming? Well, at least in that scenario Mike Pence fulfills his dream of being president. I guess a few days is better than nothing.
