Officers of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) are closely monitoring the flood situation in Songkhla province on Saturday.

The flood situation in the province has begun to resolve after the heavy rains eased.

On Saturday, Deputy Interior Minister Niphon Bunyamanee and Songkhla Governor Jaruwat Kliangklao went to the area near Khuan Niang Temple to oversee DDPM officials' operation to drain water out by using large water pumps to make sure that the situation returns to normal as soon as possible.
