Amazing Thailand Video: Monkeys flee for their lives!

Extraordinary footage from Lopburi has been shared online.

It shows a huge number of monkeys - some with babies on their backs - fleeing in terror from loud bangs behind their usual stomping grounds at the Prang Sam Yot monument in the downtown area.

Traffic came to a halt as locals, both spooked and excited, watched the amazing stampede.

The monkeys were scared by fireworks at a neighborhood school during a festival to welcome the cool season on Saturday.

That must explain why there were staff in the bars when we were there last week.

I remember once a similar scenario near a local zoo... looked like a mass exodus, I asked a keeper what was going on?

he said a lion had escaped, I asked which direction was it going... he answered.. well they aren't following it !!

TH health minister possibly in pursuit of new prey, since there are no pesky, smelly foreigners around who never shower??? Hunt 'em down, boy! Gettemmm!!!

That's how it will look like when the forced vaccinations come into effect.. ????

How can they be Fleeing for their lives, if they were not in danger.

Probably the inate programming that dogs also seem to have - loud noises esp crackling / explosions tell them a fire (bushfire) is coming - GTF outa here!

Dogs (pets)  should be kept inside, and or on a lead when fireworks are exploding. Fireworks are a  big cause of lost dogs - but not lost street dogs, sadly -

TAT believes this is what it will look like when the tourists come back.????
