Biden: Trump aides setting 'roadblocks' for his transition team

You know what it means. Trump was beaten by his stupidity in engaging an already hostile liberal MSM and his utter lack of forethought when opening his mouth. He lost I accept it and predicted it long before the election - Covid saved Biden IMHO.

I'm not going to go back and check your claims but I remember your predictions very differently.

  • He just had the doc fired who complained about his drive by while he was in the hospital.  What a small, small man.  Jan 20th can't come fast enough.  Stunning anyone still supports this traitor.

  • I have no doubt the "roadblocks" are the "brainchild" of the current incumbent, possibly to impede matters, so he can continue to snipe (like a spolied brat) from the sidelines after he is removed fro

  • Imo part of it is pure spite against joe Biden and the American electorate and quite possibly he’s trying to cover up his tracks

Yes, in fact Hillary went home the same night and then the Dems cried for 4 years that they had won the pop vote so they tried every other way to discredit POTUS for the full 4 years. Payback will come eventually not for anything about Trump, he will long be gone, but for the pure opposition for the sake of it because they felt entitled.

There is a huge difference between being disappointed in the outcome of an election compared to openly impeding at every turn the transition of power. The democrats never compromised the nation by impeding the transition of power the way Trump and his administration are currently doing. And for whatever it is worth, there is a reason that the party not in power is known as the opposition party. And as long as you want to be a pot calling a kettle black, Mitch and the boys certainly ran a masterful opposition to almost anything Barrack Obama tired to accomplish during his terms in office (up to and including denying Obama a Supreme Court nomination based on an upcoming election when 4 years later they hypocritically allowed Trump a nomination a month before an election). It could so EASILY be argued that the way the opposition party has treated Trump is....well in your words.....PAYBACK...for 8 years of opposition party tactics from 2008 - 2016.

But impeding the transition of power like Donald Trump has is a whole new level and threatens the security and well being of the nation. There is no creditable excuse for it.

It's useful to remember that the same people who condemn the Democrats seem to have conveniently forgotten that Trump assumed leadership of the birther movement.

"Russian Collusion"

Russian interference in the election happened and was investigated, as it should have been.  The fact that Trump and his fans are offended by that is suspicious.

However that has nothing to do with this Presidential transition or the one following the 2016 election.

No doubt Trump supporters will be claiming for all time that the 2020 election was stolen, even though they have no credible evidence.

However this topic is about the Presidential transition, which happened as it should have after the 2016 election and which the Trump administration is impeding without cause now.

This is not about Obama and he didn't question the citizenship but he loved saying "at least I was President" to hilarious laughter as he took the ****** out of Trump at a dinner. Hardly statesmanship is it?

If this is not about Obama why do you make unsourced claims about what Obama said?

If you are referring to the 2011 Press Club Dinner, then it was an accurate statement.  What's the problem?

Such behavior used to be called spitting in the soup.

Flashback 2016: Obama Invites President-Elect Trump to Oval Office to 'Facilitate a Transition…Come Together'

11/10/20 at 4:36 PM EST

Four years ago today, a seemingly gracious Donald Trump accepted an invitation to the White House from President Barack Obama in order to "facilitate a transition that ensures our president-elect is successful."

Obama invited then-Republican President-elect Trump to the Oval Office on November 10, 2016, alongside soon-to-be first lady Melania. Hours earlier, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton told her supporters, "Donald Trump is going to be our president. We owe him an open mind and the chance to lead."

The AP noted Trump was "uncharacteristically quiet" during the meeting with the president, framed as an "olive branch" after months of nasty rhetoric between the two party leaders. Reports would later emerge that Obama was "pis?ed, but inescapably pragmatic" in his approach to the Oval Office meeting with Trump."

The characteristic Trump scowl, just an early sign of the four terrible years then yet to come...

He suddenly realised he would have to appear both competent and intelligent , not something with which he is well acquainted . Hard for him to walk and chew gum at same time

the dems had a right to cry.  And antiquated system cost her the presidency.  More Americans voted for her than for Trump.

They tried to discredit a POTUS who lied dozens of times to us every day.  And you are OK with that?  McConnell has done everything he can to stop any legislation helpful to Americans other than putting conservative, and unqualified, judges on the bench.  Politics at it's worst.

I do believe the republicans are crying more now than the dems ever did.  A lawsuit against Pence for voter fraud proves it.  That's called treason, and should be called out as such.

Political payback for the "Russian Collusion" stuff.  Expect more of it.

You seem to be forgetting after January 20, the Mueller report will be released - unredacted. Mueller himself has said there are grounds for prosecution.

I'm not surprised, memory loss appears to be common among Trump supporters.

IMO once Trump loses his presidential immunity, he should be prosecuted for sedition, and negligent homicide.

Well I didn't see many Dems helping out in 2016?  They made that bed now have to lie in it - US politics will stay dirty for years mostly due to the way Dems have behaved it must be said.

Of course you have no proof whatsoever but hey, who cares, just keep spreading fake news and call it an alternative reality.

It feels like there are one or more actions planned by the U.S. military or the CIA para-military forces, on Iran for the closing days. Hence the clean up on aisle Pentagon (political stooges put in place) to keep this under wraps until executed. The feeling being that the Biden team might leak it if known.

Trump has his finger on a dark pulse of racism, fear, and hatred. He tells his supporters what he knows they want to hear. They will take a knife in the ribs from him, as witness his games with health cover. 13 million Americans lost their medical insurance this month. Or support payments, blocked for months from resolution. It's a contract of mutual deceit, where he is worshipped as he heads off to play more golf, enriching himself in the process.

Biden is a professional politician facing many challenges. He's already laying the foundation of excuses for his own mistakes. Everything that goes wrong in  biden's presidency will be blamed on Trump.

Thanks for the crystal ball report. But for the rational few, the fact of the Trump administration's actual obstructions are enough to justify Biden's statement.

Not everything, but a lot of the problems he'll be facing are 100% due to Trump's actions.  No denying that.

Dems discredit trump?? No need for them to do that since he made a mockery of the presidency from day one. The "man" has as much credibility as Baghdad Bob, and that's being generous.

You mean like Trump obstructing the hand over process?

Your briefing on all this , I hope did not occur on social media, however we are fortunate that you know this.

Affidavit anyone?

With plenty of justification. Biden is inheriting record debt, a pandemic his predecessor exacerbated, a wrecked health insurance system, and a divided nation.

Trump inherited a healthy economy and proceeded to dismantle Obamacare because Obama is everything Trump is not. Trump has plumbered everything he has touched. When you say Biden is facing many challenges, who do you think created them?

Biden will be able to legitimately claim that Trump left him a lot of problems.  However I don't expect him or anyone else to come close to Trump in rewriting recent history (remember how numbers saying the economy was good under Obama were fake, but were suddenly legitimate when they made him look good?), blaming all problems real and imagined on Obama, assuming responsibility for anything good that happens (taking credit for the 2017 air safety record when the record was the same as it had been since 2009 and the FAA and NTSB were still being run by Obama appointees), and denying responsibility for anything bad that happened.

No President will ever come close to Trump for self-promotion using fabrications and dodging responsibility.

Based on the past four years of performance by the Amateur politician occupying the executive office I would say we could use a pro to clean up the Trump presidential boo boos...but that was a masterful reciting of Sean Hannity Doctrine....I am sure The Mothership will be beaming you up any day now for accommodation. Congratulations.
