Police in Nakhon Sawan in north/central Thailand have announced the arrest of a young Thai couple who bought a printer and printed more than 60,000 baht in 100s and 500s.

Cabinet meet okays decree draft on extension of permits

A Cabinet meeting on Tuesday approved the draft of a royal decree that would allow the extension of various permits by paying a fee without the applicants having to file for the extension first, government deputy spokeswoman Traisulee Traisaranakul said.

End of dangerous Patong beach road woes ‘coming soon’

PHUKET: Patong Mayor Chalermluck Kebsup has announced that the long awaited completion of installing power and communication cables underground along the Patong Beach road will be ‘soon’, beginning an end to months of motorists having to negotiate dangerous bumps and raised areas on the road where workers have been installing the cables.

Taxis at Suvarnabhumi: Airport chief reminds passengers of new baggage charges

Traditional cold medicine, Fah Talai Jone, to be used on Covid patients in five hospitals

Fresh outbreak closes schools in 42 provinces

State schools in provinces hit by the fresh Covid-19 outbreak were closed on Wednesday to stop the virus from spreading. A total of 2,797 schools in 42 provinces have temporarily shut – 2,302 primary schools and 495 secondary schools, said the Office of the Basic Education Commission (Obec).

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain on Wednesday became the first country in the world to approve a coronavirus vaccine developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca, hoping that rapid action would help it stem a surge of infections driven by a highly contagious variant of the virus.
